How do you keep your momentum when learning? I feel tired after almost 3 weeks of going through basic shit. Doing that for years? How? Drawing may be fun but learning certainly isnt.

Kiddo, you'll eventually learn that you will be able to do it if you don't stop doing it.
You don't learn for years, you earn mastery through years of implementation but you learn a concept in a few weeks.
Stop studying just to study you should only ever study to fix an error in a piece or to improve a piece.
Color challenge:

Which one of the blues?
>>2757231
it's blue, why?
>>2757231
ultra marine blue with a touch of titanium white.
>go fuck yourself..
I noticed this weird thing. Whenever i start the day with drawing or writing it all gets done with a minimal amount of discipline. but the moment i play an exiting pvp game or watch an exiting movie it ruins the rest of the day.
the blast of stimulation seems to make it extremly hard to get back to the ease from before. the white paper suddenly seems so much harder to fill.
is anybody else like this?
This has nothing to do with stimulation. It's called law of momentum. The longer you keep your momentum the easier it is to keep it going.
That's a good observation. I don't think it's over stimulation so much as there being no threshold. Your brain is fresh and it'll yield results as such.
Now whether that is good or bad for certain tasks and situations is different.
How do I learn to draw this style of artwork / what is this style called? Any tutorials on it guys?
>>2759096
woodcuts. a form of relief printing. pine is an inexpensive wood that's soft and easy to carve. you could also use other materials, like linoleum. you could also try scratchboard.
>>2759112
also these might be monoprints. ink up a plate then use q-tips etc to draw.
>>2759096
Foeget about it OP, you simply don't have enough imagination and creativity. You will never make anything interesting and your art will be exactly like the other guy, but a bit less refined.
Just wanna let you all know that Clip Studio Paint/ Manga Studio is on sale. It'll be on sale for the next three days.
Get em while you can d/ic/ks!
http://www.clipstudio.net/en
it's about the only software I've ever payed for.(jp version)
Damn, 50 is already a pretty good deal. I might consider picking it up because Krita is too bloated for my work laptop and photoshop's animation tools are abysmal. Does it work with Huion tablets?
I live in India, I don't if the exchange rate will fuck me over or not. May as well just pirate it.
What is this type of drawing called? Pic related.
Do any of you draw like this? If you want to make some bucks, let me know. I've been searching for 2 days straight can't find anyone.

This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.
Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, have fun!

Something I probably won't finish.
wanted to get something like pic related as a present for someone but not sure whats good or not? any suggestions would be helpful
>>2758661
Give them a gun and tell them to finish the job.
I would be happy if someone bought me those, anon. I think its a nice gift.
>>2758661
Yeah, it's a pretty awesome set of pens, go for it
a little sketch I did yesterday. inspired by the silence of the lambs and Bailey illustrations.
very nice. I personally enjoy it's slightly sketchy style but on the whole, neatness.
On that note, I did notice the wings are not symmetrical in size, share, nor pattern sizes nor neatness. It's noticeable that you're not as confident with drawing from the left side into the right, as you are the other way round. (talking in particular about the shading on the left upper wing)
Still pretty cool tho.

simple. not bad. Ive noticed that everything looks better if you put a frame around it. Id preffer it without crosshatching, but its your stuff
So I want to get into digital painting more than drawing. I kinda know the procedure (I've painted a bit on oil, but very basic stuff) yet I don't seem to get the hang don painting and rendering in photoshop. Any advice/books/tutorials?
Also, digital painting general
Pic related: I want to work in the same way LD Austin or Gimaldinov work with Photoshop.
digital painting is all about cheating. if you can cheat and convince people it was painted. you've mastered DP.
>photobashing
>mattepainting
>copypasta
>stay away form the filters
>find yourself a good dry texture brush
>etc
>>2756870
It's about cheating if you want to be a FZD knockoff commercial fuckboy.
Just emulate traditional media, OP, make sure your fundamentals are intact and you'll be fine.
>>2756872
no shut the hell up. Enjoy wasting your time dumb fuck. Might as well pull out an easel if you disagree.
>hey anon, can I look through your sketchbook?
>>2756346
NO
I CAN'T DRAW
WHY CAN'T I DRAW
ART IS SO HARD
OH MY GOD
No, Edda. Go back to being dead.
>>2756346
Fuck yeah you can, later ill look inside your pants.
How the fuck do I shake this feeling of thinking that I won't be able to learn something? I practice besides that feeling every day for hours but this shit is starting to eat me alive. Today I masturbated and I needed to stop because it was so sad to see all those shit tier porn artists being better than me, that they grasped things I haven't grasped yet.
A plastic bag tied over your head should work.
>>2758821
I'm not hyperventilating, it's more like a lingering feeling that is always aroudn me. Even when I get something and feel happy and confident I immediately feel shame because I thought like that.
>>2758817
Not gonna make it.
I want to get into maker rendering for product design. They look like a great expressive and fast medium when used properly, and that Industrial Design look is sexy as fuck.
I always rendered my sketches digitally and don't know how to begin to work traditionally.
Any help with this? Any good resources you know about this type of work?
Pic related: Sangwon Seok.
Markers are cool but I have never seen a book on marker techniques.
>>2758643
YouTube has a ton of videos on this. just search product design.
>>2758643
Sketching: the Basics is literally Industrial Design bible.
Here's the link for two books from this amazing series I happen to have on cloud:
http://pastebin.com/uq5fuCu9
Read them if you haven't yet, you won't regret it. They cover everything, from markers and basic shading with some perspective techniques to industrial design philosophy
Thoughts on this? Basically they take a 3d model and then scan a 2d drawing in any medium and try to get the 3d model to look like it was done in that medium. Do you think it'll have any serious affects on the industry down the line?

>>2756641
Artists can already do that, but better. Like 100x better.
>>2756641
Adobe won't mind spending time and resources on developing this gimmicky bullshit but they can't be bothered to even implement something so simple yet fundamental as brush organization in Photoshop that users have been asking for now more than a decade.
Fuck you Adobe. You can suck my dick.
