thank you anon. keep up this work. I love you
I drew this a few days ago.. What do you think? Should I keep up the drawing or should I change the style..?
Also this is a link to the drawing on deviantart and in case you want to see more please do cause I would like to know what you think of my art: http://candytraitor.deviantart.com/art/Haru-sketch-647785583
Meh it looks alright, his hair looks too big for his head to be honest
Sure, why not.
1) I like the idea of the drawing, but after seeing your gallery I think you may have either traced it or use heavy reference (like copying an existing drawing by the eye, is that right?)
2) There's nothing inherently WRONG with that, but it's not going to help you improve, you'll always be dependant on someone else's drawings, you won't be able to "create" from your head.
3) Don't be discouraged, you obviously are good enough to draw lines with a sense of confidence, now you have to refine your skills. I know you like drawing manga, nothing wrong with that, but learning to draw more "realistic" (like in the sticky. READ THE STICKY!) is going to be insanely helpful to you.
4) An artsyle is a personal thing, like your handwriting. Much like your handrwriting, you are expected to learn the basics (how to read and draw "standard" letters) before adding your spin on it. So focus on your letters first.
5) Your painting is still a bit sloppy, but that comes with practice. If you want to really improve, both in painting and drawing, READ THE STICKY.
Anyway, good luck OP. Just don't make threads just about your art, search for threads were people share their art and ask for criticism there.
Better than most /ic/ OC / 10
be honest, am i the next picasso?
be brutally honest, how much would you pay for this piece?

Help me out gueys,
i've been looking for a while and can't seem to find any renaissance work that has a direct connection between the work and faith, can y'all help me out?
How does one draw cute/expressive looking eyes for faces? I get the felling I'm missing something when it comes to making eyes looks right and look attractive as well.
>>2759285
Have you tried drawing eyes bigger?
You need post what you're doing OP or you'll mostly just get shot in the dark guesses.
Can you help me?
I just lost the stylus of my wacom intuos draw (pic related). What other stylus are compatible with this tablet? And how musch is the cheapest one?
Only $35 online. Pretty cheap.
>>2758057
Does any stylus work with wacom?
>>2758062
I meant you can just buy the stylus you lost. It's sold individually online.
Hey guys, relatively new artist here. What's a good place to upload your work? The only places that I'm aware of are deviantart, tumblr and instagram. Where do you guys get the most exposure? pic not related. Thanks /ic/
/ic/
post your work
post ur work

It depends what kind of work you do somewhat. Artstation is popular for digital fantasy and science fiction for example.
Most artists post on facebook actually. If you are part of various art groups there you can get some exposure, and you can either post art on your own personal wall or make an art page for yourself.
If you are a beginner though worry more about getting good before worrying about getting people to see you work.
what does /ic/ think of my tattoo?
I designed it myself.

Hey guys! As you can plainly see, I couldn't draw a circle if my life depended on it, so I'm turning to you guys to help me make sure the last two grueling months of coding weren't a complete waste of my time.
This is a card game (that's played on a gameboard... on a phone... yeah), so I'm shooting for a couple hundred pieces for the initial release. But I don't need backgrounds, shading or color, just outlines.
Here's the deal: I don't have a huge budget (US$500), so I can only offer a couple bucks for each piece that I use, but for what I'm guessing would take most of you just a few minutes, you get to say you did graphic design for a game; I'll even put your name on every card you do the artwork for, in case you want to use it on a resume or something.
I'm looking for anime-style characters (I wish I could be more descriptive here, but I'm a code junky, not an art buff; all I know is that I'm not a fan of Miyazaki's work.)
If you're interested in seeing your work get published in our game, send something you've got lying around to [email protected] and I'll let you know what cards we need drawn. I'll also keep you updated on the development status so you'll be the first to know when people start playing the game you helped make!
>>2757294
To get quality work youd have to dish out 30$ a card minimum (assuming you scam someone into it). That's less than 14 cards. At least propose a % on game revenue. And no, it's not a couple minutes. It'll take the person minimum 2 hours per cards if done correctly.
>[exposure intensifies]
>>2757299
For just outlines? I wouldn't think that would take hours, but obviously this isn't my field of expertise.
I don't know if I could offer a percentage, but if the game ends up being successful, I'd be happy to kick down some extra bonus cash to make it more worth contributers' time.
Hi /ic/,
Sorry for this crap again but i have to ask something:
I own an Intuos Pen small tablel and I have the option to buy a Cintiq 12wx rather cheap, and considering that where i live no shop sells any of the graphic tablets and online shops don't ship here:
Is it worth it? I've read that color saturation is off and the stand is bad.. Does any of you anons use it? Can you work around this?
>>2753032
>Is it worth it?
Fuck no. It's outdated and when it was released back in its day it was still shit. You'll be fighting to keep all your panels on screen and you'll have limited space. It's even smaller than a regular sketchpad. Your colors will be way off that you'd have to swap monitors to do color. And the the amount of cables you have to lunge around.
Just save up for the 13HD or wait for the newer cintiqs to come out which shouldn't be too long from now.
>>2753049
Guess I`ll do just that, save up for a 13HD, thanks a lot anon.
I own a 12wx and it's trash, my family man. I don't use it anymore and I refuse to make it another artist's problem (but I also can't bring myself to just throw it away with how much it cost). If you're going to get a Cintiq, go big or go home. That said, it'd be more practical and quite a bit cheaper to get the Huion Giano or Intuos Large and invest in a second monitor (for references/tool dockers etc.) than any given Cintiq, really.
This is my gallery. Want a tour?
when someone unfollows me on Instagram and it drops down into a lower number category. it hurts my feelings.
how do I get over this?

>>2758907

I have shaking hands and my hands start cramping a minute into writing.
Is it worth giving this a try?
>>2756666
Excersice. Seriously.
I have maraca pulse and have no problem while drawing
Hand exercises, and if you're working digital use a line stabiliser. I have very shaky hands, too.
>>2756690
>Hand exercises,
Which?
Who was the original artist behind this painting? This is probably not even the original piece.
Genzoman
I would chastise you for not using Google Image Search, but I just checked and it isn't exactly helpful...
It's a wood engraving by Gustave Doré.
>>2756276
what technique is that?
