It feels like no matter how anatomy I learn; I'm still not where I really want to be with it.

It's very hard to accurately do it from imagination for me despite all of the simplification of the muscles I've seen.

This is how I create my muscles without a reference. They're very inaccurate. This is prior to deconstructing the forms of muscles I've seen from photographs.

I've been told I need more fundamental practice, but I'm not exactly sure how you can get better at 3D visualization aside from life-drawing.

Is it a matter of mileage?

I also have the problem with the chicken scratches because I tend to be nervous while drawing my lines, drawing is supposed to be a relaxing activity. So why is that when I draw, I tend to do chicken scratches?

Learn perspective drawing, study the shape in perspective of various animals, vehicles, people..etc and then learn spray paint techniques.

Don't forget about rending after you've got basic perspective hammered down. Don't do it before perspective, because it'll be confusing as fuck.

There's not one uniform opinion across the board. You'll get some people who are against it and some who support it. I think the only thing that can be agreed upon is that if you do use those techniques then be upfront about it and don't try to give the impression it was done manually if it was not, and also be respectful of any photographers whose work you use.

The results are usually not that good
