Why is visual art the least respected art? (compared to music, writing etc) and the least respected career? People associate art students with potheads who "can't find a job lol" this is fucking bullshit. Studying stem seems always like the good path and people respect you and admire your superior "intellect".

As far as respect towards visual art goes. I think professional artists are more respected than ever because of how much entertainment media everyone consumes these days and how much these products are being hyped. You just gotta be good and actually work in the industry. Obviously no one respects unemployed artists. But no one respects unemployed musicians, writers or STEM majors either.

Seriously, though, construction is literally is creating the general structure of your image before actually starting the image. Don't try to worry about all the end details at the same time. It's arbitrarily iterative.
