>draw quality porn
>distribute for free
>build audience
>slowly start asking for money
>gradually move away from free stuff into paid stuff either patreon or your own subscription based site
>occasionally release free stuff to attract more people and retain your audience
does anyone know whos the artist behind this
It looks like something drawn by...

Does /ic/ know any resources for painting with tempera?
Anyone here has painted with tempera?
Think of it as pre-thinned gouache but slightly shitty.
>you're better off with a set of postercolor jars if you're looking for something similar

>tempera

Never painted with gauche so I don't get that comparasion
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

Post your current drawing here and be an asshole to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, DOWNSIZED TO AROUND 1000 PIXELS WIDE, ROTATED TO THE CORRECT ORIENTATION, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one and then kill yourself.

study for study thread
Done with this page.

your room's perspective seems the biggest problem here, make the human guy's legs longer and also give a lightsource to your painting, lighting seems too ambiant.
What do you guys listen to when you need to get into the "mood" to create? Any playlist?
Post some musically inspired work if you have some to keep shit relevant.
>>2779531
I listen to music that would play in the background of my painting.
Odd taste but I listen to a certain artist/style of electronic that features glitched vocals but is also calming/trancey. Great bg noise.
>>2779531
i get really bored with music, for while i've been listening to talk shows, documentaries and audiobooks. the longer and more interesting they are, the better mood i'm in for painting. what sucks is that i run out of these fast and replaying them isn't the same as replaying music
I'm trying to create a drawing and the concept is going to be around the tv shows NCIS and Supernatural. The main characters I'm focusing on are Gibbs (NCIS) and Dean Winchester (Supernatural). I've seen my fair share of NCIS but I don't know a thing about Supernatural other than memes and whatever I find on wiki pages.
I'm stuck between whether or not to just do a back to back post of the 2 guys on 9x12in sketch paper or do a 3 - 4 panel comic with some slight back and forth banter between them.
Its all going to be black and white. More realistic than cartoonish because properly transforming real life people to a caricature is still outside of my skill set.
And suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
thumbnail out the first composition that comes to your head
I love Supernatural. I'm not gonna help you OP.

First time posting here, looking for feedback on pic related. The silver wire is 28 gauge aluminum, the copper wire is 18 gauge aluminum with a bronze finish.

What the FUCK? Thanks for the effort though famalam.
Is it bad to use an existing drawing, work of picture and "copy" the perspective ?
I don't know if it's still helping to learn, but I really don't understand how "complex" perspective work. I can't construct in perspective because I don't know how to define the vanishing points, the horizon line and all of those things.
E-books are not helping much, it's a lot of text and I'm an ESL so my english isn't perfect.
>>2783817
why would it be bad?
you can't construct in perspective because you do not do enough studies.
No, it's not "bad." Whatever works, works.
Also, copying a solution to a problem is a great way to acquire a repertoire of possible solutions you can use later. No need to know why they work, just that they work.
You can even use those "copied" techniques to devise your own original solutions, without really understanding why they work.
But if you really want to be able to do it from scratch in any given situation, then you're going to need to know the theory of what works when and why. Not everyone wants or needs to know this.
Just in case you do, here are a few things to get you started:
1) The horizon line is at the eye level of the viewer. The "camera" your picture is being seen through.
2) So if your viewpoint is 2 meters off the ground, and the ground is perfectly flat, then the horizon line is going to intersect everything in the picture exactly 2 meters up. The 2-meter mark on a tree would be at the horizon line. Something 3 meters tall will go above it, and something only 1 meter tall will stay below it.
3) There is always a vanishing point directly in front of the viewer. That's the one-point perspective, and you'll use that to figure out how tall and how far apart things will appear, the farther away they get. Basically, draw a straight line from that vanishing point to where this particular point would have been, if the object was right in front of you. However far away it is, that point is going to fall on that line. That's all.
4) An object's lines only converge on that central vanishing point if they are parallel to the viewer's gaze. If something is on an angle, then its lines will be pointed somewhere else, to another point of perspective.
5) Imagine the horizon is a giant circle all around the viewer. The spot on that circle where something's lines are aimed will be their vanishing point. This can easily be far outside the window of your page, so you might have to guess what looks "right." But knowing this can help you guess well.

Hello
I am conducting a very simple survey across /sci/, /lit/ , & /ic/ .
Please take a moment of your time to answer these questions, i`ll post the results soon
>Do you carry a pen/pencil with you everyday?
> If yes, what do you use?
>Do you carry a notebook with you everyday?
> If yes, what do you use?
>In your personal opinion, what is the highest triumph of humananities achievments thus far?
(Can be anything from astronomical observations to the printing press to cheese pizza)

>The low forms?

I'm honestly a really bad artist and I was wondering if a saint could show me their skill and draw out a D&D character i had in mind.
He is a Paladin Human Male with dark black brown hair and green eyes, with fair skin and a decent muscular build, high charisma and very handsome ;).
I was thinking of something similar to pic related, but less edgy looking and with him facing forward.
Would prefer a upper body shot, with him wearing similar armor and traits described.
If anyone could do this I would be greatly thankful and would be willing to gift something on steam up to 10 dollars.

thanks don't really go on anything besides an and v

pay me 300$ and will be delivered in 2 days.
Never been on this thread before (if this doesn't belong on /ic/ I'd love to know where it does).
Anyone with tattoos, I'm curious what advice you have for someone (hint: me) who doesn't have any tattoos yet. Also any recommendations of what to and what not to get.
>atm I'm leaning towards getting picrelated.jpg because of how much I loved Welcome to the NHK and how it honestly forced me to look at myself and change my life for the better. (although I might just get the puzzle piece without the girl or logo).
>(Other things I'd lean my possible design towards: A Clockwork Orange, Breaking Bad, The Godfather, Fargo (show not movie), Death From Above 1979, or maybe Bulby from QOTSA's Era Vulgaris)
>Or maybe you'd recommend that I should just start with something really basic like a yin yang or some shit...
>>2784274
You should just get the puzzle piece without the girl
alternative tattoo idea
>i've never been on this thread before
is the creator of it
I dare you guy to save my ugly tatoo.
Backstory:
It all begins with the mith of Oedipus and the riddle of the sphinx. Three Pyramids, and the shadow on the low part.
>The shadow
Is actually a shadow from the biggest piramid, but this one is hidden on the drawning its something like a 3D piramid, on a extremelly forced perspective...
>The tree little balls on the top sides
The middle one will become a ouroboros with a sun inside(thats the plan but i dont know)
The other ones i dont have a clue of what i'm gonna do...
Please Help the poor bastard that have done a few bad choices on life.
P.S. Really bad Inglish, sorry mates.
TL;DR LOL
looks gay btw
bring your concept to a good tattoo artist, thats the only salvation for you now. thats if they can work with the huge black shadow as well. dont go cheap, do your research and quit getting cheap tattoos.

>save my ugly tattoo
how much are you gonna pay?
Are artists inherently fucked up, or does the journey fuck them up?
>>2783627
A little bit of both, healthy people who manage living in this world don't have any need to create worlds of their own.
Pfft artists are generally quite normal dudes desu, but its the fucked up ones that get the attention.
Fucked up ones were probably that way from the start
>>2783628
So anyone with creativity is fucked up?

First let it be noted I am aware of this meme, however I will critisize it.
Skillwise it's acceptable for industry work, but looking at details in painting, it might have taken too long to be considered a character concept design. In terms of face design, he is very rigid, uninteresting and blend. His whole face is built on a straightforward square and turns out rather flat. Usage of scar across eyebrow only makes him that much more kitsch. Armor design seems unthought trough, in many ways impractical and in many ways hardly describes the reasoning. Design does not follow function, which is probably the worst mistake when making a strictly functional design such as military armor ( knife on a string?, six million gas-looking/flashbang grenades around belt, random device on thorax). Also the shape language seems to be floating, not having a strict sense of aesthetics which makes all the shapes kind of random. That could be easily argued with functionality, but since that is missing as well, it turns out to be just shit.
All in all, bellow average design, worth for B-tier entertainment industry.
4/10 character design.
