I need other opinions than my own! It definitely isn't done yet, and the colors certainly need change, but it's getting there. What should I adjust/delete/add/whatever? Does it need more colors? Give me whatever it needs to get better. When i'm through with my soldier, I'll make alternate versions of him, and animate a few basic attacks, walking cycle and perhaps some other stuff.
Also, his left arm, as well as the shield (yes, that's a shield), isn't something I've begun working on.

I like your sense of character design. The shield does not read as one. At first sight It looks like a twig he's grabbing from the ground.

Back in the day, I used to hang out on the conceptart org forum but like a lot of things, it kinda lost it's magic as time went on. Lately I've been feeling the itch to get back into these online communities but I can't find any that look cool. CA looks like a shell of its former self.. I've been on the crimson daggers forum but it looks like it's more about pretending to work hard rather than actually learning anything, and that's a pattern I see all over the place. In every community I come across it looks like people are trying to re-inact the old CA forum but without actually putting the work in.
Is there anybody that can point me in the right direction?
Are there any good discord groups out there or is the golden age of online art communities over?

A couple weeks ago, they discovered a dinosaur tail trapped in amber,and it's completely covered in feathers. Chances are an awful lot of dinosaurs were feathered. But the feathers are really not bird-like.
How would you go about drawing a whole dino covered in them? Bonus point: make it at least kinda intimidating

Why is that that the talent of the amazing render monkey artists are wasted on f2p games that no one will ever play and will likely shut down after like a month?
