Why didn't you post this in the Beginner Thread

It is clearly not his.
What's the best industry-standard software suite to analyze and extract a complete color palette from an image. There's a lot of free ones online but they feel lackluster.

Is this an android-only app?
Hey everyone I need some help I'm at this point where I don't know what I should be working on I try to post on tumble and da but I get no real feedback can't anyone tell me what I'm lacking
I think you need to think about underlying forms a little bit more. I'm noticing thing like her arms sprouting from nowhere, hands the same size despite being different distances, or the lack of volume with her waist decoration.
Overall, this is really promising. I'm thinking you have a tendency to veer toward what looks good, which ultimately creates this sort of askew feeling for the viewer. Gor example, her right breast looks great, but then I realized how much further off to the side it is compared to the other.

Looks nice imo but i think the issue is that the gesture doesn't communicate anything. You'll end up with a nice character if you colour or render some shit, just something to keep in mind for the future.
What do you guys think of this pen? I'm thinking about getting one.
wow that's great I'll get 50!!!
And while I'm at it I'd love to get a I Don't Draw for Free™ t-shirt, a I Don't Draw for Free™ baseball cap, and a pair of I Don't Draw for Free™ boxers!!!!
>>2798472
Just get a nice custom engraved pen.
The engraving is usually free for more expensive pens.

if people keep asking you for free art, then probably your art isn't considered to be worth any money.
sorry anon.

I can draw 1-2 correct figures easily on paper but when I sketch on my XP Pen 22HD I draw 2 times worse and even when I draw something good it takes 3 times as long to do it....I like inking and painting with it because all the other alternatives I have are shit or time consuming( inking is fun but inking digitally is cleaner for me) but for some reason, it just doesn't feel the same as sketching on paper which is fun. Am I doing something wrong?
I wish I was that guy. That noose looks so inviting
>>2796469
Always felt like drawing on a tablet, any kind of tablet, was different than paper. You'll probably get used to it after enough time, but maybe also try drawing different than you do on paper. Digital is so much more forgiving than traditional so for me I just settled on a more painterly way of sketching digitally than traditional pen and paper kind of line work. Don't think you're doing anything wrong, just try new things that maybe you couldn't do traditionally?
>>2796469
How long have you had the XP pen? Is the pressure low enough for you? Drawing digitally is indeed different you just have to get used to the tools
I'm fucking mad, there are so many people who think that learning anatomy and proportions is useless. I know that it depends on what you draw, but I see fags who draw their horrible anime and sonic fanart giving advice to other begginer artists saying that learning anatomy is stupid.
What's your guy's opinion on this.
i think we can just let them fail.
anyone actually serious about art will find the good resources eventually, right? they'll have the drive to get off their ass and seek out things that will help them succeed while dumb fags who are merely seeking asspats will stay in their comfort zone forever.
if the beginner is at all serious about art, and not just casually drawing animu because they have nothing else to do, then they'll figure out eventually that they need anatomy. even if it takes 3 years down the road.
Why does this bother you? You can't save everyone, let them burn.

This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.
Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, have fun!

What text shows you how to construct a figure while remaining anatomically-correct and perspective-correct?
Most artists I see on streams try to construct figures themselves from memorized knowledge about what goes where, but how can this be effective for dynamic poses with many oriented joints being distorted by perspective? Is drawing from reference or using a 3D program the best way to get a perspective correct figure with correct proportions?
I've gone through Scott Robertson's How to Draw, Loomis's Figure Drawing Figure Drawing For All It's Worth, How to Draw Head and Hands, Fun With a Pencil, but none of these books detail how to accurately draw a figure without using reference. Even Scott Robertson says sometimes "just use a CAD program instead of drawing all these diagrams".
Please help.
Maybe I should have a base mesh with few polys (easy to modify proportions for different figures). I can rig and pose the mesh and trace the outline as a suggestion for my form. I can construct details on-top.
Pic related is an artist I think uses a 3D model as reference, just my guess from looking at his works.
I'm considering in grabbing these since they might teach what I'm looking for.

that and loomis mentions perspective, there's a ton of other resources you should read.
use the question thread next time.
Ok /ic. This is my first time attempting to sketch in a long time. I had a picture on my phone next to the paper while sketching it. I know the face/hair and hands arnt great. But what other areas should I work on? I don't really know where to start again and how to practice. Any advice would help me greatly.
Crap. Sorry for the sideways photo but here's the photo I used for my reference.
