True! What I mean to say is it's still good to know how something is done in case the way you usually approach it doesn't suffice. Like I used the infamous "thunderbolt method" to draw arms for a long time (still do with gestures and thumbnails), and it's a nice way to quickly figure out where certain muscles and shapes are, but it's helped legitimately learning the structures of an arm too.

Hey man thanks for the feedback - I don't have a bunch of friends, and most of my family wouldn't care, so I just figured maybe I could get some critique to help me make not just better art but funnier content. I wasn't hoping to get like jerked off with pleasant comments but rather have someone tell me what worked for them and what didn't. Probably stupid, but I always try and look at the good in things, and I was hopeful. So no sarcasm, 100% honesty bro, thanks for taking the time to look at my video, even if you shitted on it, sometimes it's just nice to know people actually looked at your stuff, you know? Adobe Illustrator is a vector drawing application; it's not going to be good for free-hand drawing, then again with that baby tablet you won't be able to do much of that anyway.

Get Krita (https://krita.org/en/), and then ditch that tablet before it ruins drawing for you forever

There's not many people who do 3d on here so you probably wouldn't get any good feedback unfortunately. 3d animation is sometimes posted in the animation thread and people can usually crit those fine but I don't think any one really posts any other 3d stuff here.

You won't see a great deal of help here, the general competency for 3D here is very low, there are the odd one or two gems that do know a lot about it, but they likely either lurk /3/ as well, or are too busy to lurk 4chan all that often.

They lack an understanding of 3D forms. Especially in the eyes, which are a complete mess.

Directional strokes in the hair are nice, though.

What do we draw?

>Whatever you want. At this point there's no required topic so draw your heart out. Make sure you submit at least a half hour of work or you may get a low effort warning.

What's a low effort warning?

>The goal is to get people to draw every day by turning it into a competition. The low effort warning system is to prevent people from posting last minute, quick sketches when they're feeling lazy. If you receive a warning and it happens again within a month you'll be eliminated.

What happens if I'm eliminated?

If you joined on week 1 and make it to week 2 then your daily submission counts for both the first and second Last Artist Standing. If you get eliminated then you're eliminated from both challenges and you'll be able to rejoin next week.

Will I have an advantage if I join later in the week?

>The winner of a Last Artist Standing will be the artist with the longest streak. If you join on day 1 and last until day 85 then you'll have a streak of 85. If there's only one person left in the challenge when you're eliminated but they joined on Day 7 then they'll need to continue on for another week. If they're eliminated before then, you win.

I always suspect that's the case, so I test it by showing them other, far better artists' interpretations of celebrities, done in a similar style, and the exact same thing happens every time. These people just can't wrap their heads around anything that's not a 1:1 true to life representation.
