When it's right, to use a Loli character into a comic? I mean, not as the center of the action, but just like one of the main characters. And which are the limits, when using that same Loli character?
>>2798088
You're asking a very abstract question with no clear answer. A writer puts characters wherever they want. There are a plethora of stories with young female characters in leading roles, in all genres.
I'm assuming English isn't your first language. "Loli" typically refers to sexualized underage women. Depending on what you're depicting, it's illegal in many areas. So that's one interpretation of "the limits."
>>2798104
quite right, english isnt my native languaje, Im refering to a character, that look like a 15 yo girl but maybe 17 or 18 yo.
But so far, I guess I gonna use that character, try my best to keep it classy and dont mess arround with sexual stuff.
For god's sake
Loli doesn't refer to something explicit or sexual. It's a kid character. Depending on who you are and what your tastes are you could have them fulfill any kind of part you want. Whether it be have them mauled to death, have them just be side character, have 'em be powerful goddesses that can kill millions, or just have 'em be in the background not doing anything at all. You're over-thinking things. Do what you want.
Hey, /ic/. I've been struggling alot with creative blocks, mostly just not being very interested in the subjects I usually draw, but I definitely need to improve if I want to achieve the goals I have for this year and further down the line. I've been toying with the idea of doing this for a while now, but the f-word is so frowned upon in most trades, especially the creative ones and I felt like I'd be cheating myself for doing it. But, desperate times call for desperate measures.
What I won't do:
-bestiality/furry
-yaoi/trap
-loli/shota
-rape
I (try to) draw in a more realistic style, so don't expect anything anime/cartoonish in nature.
I would like ideally to do a lot of digital colored stuff, but if life interferes (as it probably will), some stuff may come down to being pencil, in which case I'll have to take a photo since I don't have my scanner (it's in a storage locker somewhere else).
Attached is a recent painting I did. Sorry about the sloppiness and the photobashing, I didn't plan it out much.

Cute twin tailed nip please
So, I get lucid dreams quite often and last night was the first time when I tried to visualize drawings ideas while asleep. I could imagine what I wanted to draw very sharply, like looking a picture. This made me kinda angry because drawing from imagination is extremely hard for me.
Does anyone else have similar experiences?
>>2798454
thats why you practice drawing to be able to draw from imagination, now delete this pointless thread and get good
>>2798454
Hey lucid dreamer bro, just how realistic are your lucid dreams? Just curious
>>2798476
Well it varies. Sometimes I do have ultra realistic lucid dreams that feel no different from being awoke. It's quite rare tho. First time when I had such a dream I found myself in this ultra realistic metallic labyrinth. It was quite eerie.
Why are people like this?
I don't get it, I really can not understand this mindset.
How do you guys deal with these kinds of people? Do you usually just leave them be?
It's a shame too because I hate seeing people go down such bad paths.
>>2797540
These kinds of threads show up on here every now and and again and they're totally bizarre. What do you mean how do you deal with these kinds of people? Why are you even dealing with them? Where did you find this person?
With the way they type and their stance on art they are very clearly a beginner and very clearly under 17 years old, so why do you care? Just because they think like this right now, does not mean that they will for the rest of their life, they'll outgrow it if they're serious about art. Have you seen those charts about the dunning kruger thing, where there's a spike in confidence when you have a very basic knowledge of something? That's where they are right now, let them draw for a year and their stance will change.
dumb thread, who cares
>>2797567
>>2797540
Based on their typing/writing it hardly matters what their/xier/apaches age is, theyre clearly too dumb to handle realism even if they wanted to do so. Id be fairly confident in saying they wont even make anything from their established snowflake-style either.
Their stance wont change, theyre too dumb.
/ic/ is not for art and you're not here for art. prove me wrong
pro tip: replying further proves my point.
u figured out the system dude

Is anyone here upgrading to Art Rage 5 / using Art Rage 4.5? Should I move on to another soft as I am a fucking beginner? Also I just realized the new version won't be on Steam, shit.
>buying software on steam
>having steam installed in the first place
>being a child who plays video games
>>2798008
this
I will be using ArtRage 5 (I'm actually working on something currently for their art contest to win a free version). I'm not really a digital painter, but I've used ArtRage on most of my professional work that requires digital output. This piece was done in 4.0.
You should use software you're comfortable with, but it's not really the software that makes the artist, it's daily practice.
Do you only draw porn and fanart

no, photo studies all day erry day
Isn't this chick a lesbian now? I saw people on Reddit really upset about it.

Yup.
"Avant garde is the instant commercial failure as it transcends the current conventions of the 'Allgemeinkultur' and can only be perceived by an individual participating in the aesthetic evolution of humanity" -Torsten Kretchzmar
This is more like a BORED than a BOARD. Enough Rembrandt. I don't want to REMember his BRANDt!!!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9UgniNT5KE
so you like avant garde
how do i into avant garde
im serious im so classically trained i cant even
I agree. Enough Rembrandt. Not that he even gets posted here, so I don't know what you mean.
But avant garde is also trash. I don't see why that quote is a defense for avant garde art. It's the interpretation of history which is exactly wrong with it. It doesn't create anything lasting and will fade to obscurity if the populace wasn't reminded forcefully of it.
IC, give me a beginner's routine to improvement
My weaknesses are anything background/setting/composition related.
I see a gigantic blank canvas and I'm overwhelmed at the thought of having to fill it all. It's nowhere near as intimidating as painting in a face or a person.
I'm thinking that means learning perspective first. What'd be a good goal to set for each and every single day to really get in there and practice perspective and composition?
>>2798380
I mean to say it's way more intimidating*
but if we give you a routine then there's nobody to wipe your ass after you shit
>>2798387
obviously you guys set yourselves daily/weekly/monthly goals or something
it's not just brainless grinding, you look at what you lack and you set goals to overcome it
what's a good routine that i can follow that will help me fuck perspective's shit up? i ask here because you guys have been doing this for much longer than me
help a brother out
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

I'm happy I've gotten out of the stupid mind-set that I can only draw to study. I've resigned myself to mediocrity, and its never felt so good!
