as a frequent user of the 22 or 24 inch one i can tell you don't get anything smaller than the 22/24 inch one. it's not enough space. save up for a larger model. all the shit on the sides of programs will interfere. trust me. it's too small.

I have the 13HD largest would not have the space on the desk.
I do not think it changes a lot with a larger model, I draw always at the center of the screen and move/zoom the page.

no hes right you faggot, this composition is ass. never mind the boobs (though seriously thats not even uneven, they are different planes of existence) you failed to give a good sense of where WE are in relation to this woman you drew. am i looking down on her, or looking up at her? is this meant to emulate a fish eye lens? how about you use some references to learn how to draw someone looking DOWN on you, and looking UP at you (eg. pic related) so you can figure out how to make the image look natural. right now though, i cant make heard or tail of what perspective you were going for.
go to /beg/ or the /alternative/ threads for advice if you insist on anime.

When doing studies do both. Go for understanding (making your drawing look 3d/human) then add the likeness. Likeness is overall a lot easier than making something look human so understanding should be your main priority. I hope you understand what I mean, but I can explain further, if needed.

Yes, if you were solely to go for likeness, you'd just be making a copy of your reference and you wouldn't really gain as much knowledge from copying something line for line. I've definitely had that feeling before. Another way to describe it could be a dream-like state: in dreams you witness impossible things, but their intensity conveys reality.

If I recall correctly, the term "surrealism" is a condensation of "super-realism". The feeling you describe is what many surrealist painters seemed to want to evoke.

Metaphysical painters, the precursors of surrealism along wih the dadaists, were even more aware of this feeling. Sarane Alexandrian describes it like this:

In America, metaphysical art influenced the works of many dreamy painters, like Hopper and O'Keefe. You can even see its influence in current culture, as it's evidenced in the whole vaporwave genre (pic related, ring any bells?).

Signed up for a schoolism membership, bought myself a tablet, and drew on all of my sketchbooks.

Such a great investment of time. Why, you ask? It's completely necessary and serves every purpose.
Art is needed, especially in today's society where the intellect, personality, and face are traits.

To be honest, the "artistic lifestyle" seems almost like a wonderful endeavor at this point, and with all due respect, but it seems like the most serious artists (asides from guys who are legit concept artists/illustrators/porn artists but they represent a very low % of dedicated lifters) are also the people with everything else going on in their lives.
I know this wasn't true with me, I wasn't biggest and most serious about drawing when I was still in uni, not working at least 15 hours a week, and pretty much just plucking around my pubes, a shut-in, with no real life.
To all you kids out there who are getting sucked into the commercial art , I salute you on your journey.
So long as you have and maintain decent portfolio along with facial aesthetics, you'll be fine.
Art is just worth everything and more.

Help with what exactly?
Marking friends, or friends who are also artists?
To make friends you need to have something about yourself that they can find interesting and relate to.
If your only hobby is drawing than I would say try getting another one.
That way you won't be so one dimensional.

Try looking for people that share your humor and sensibilitys first.
You can always draw with people you get along with, but you can't always get along with people who draw.
