Ive been doing spray paint stuff on abandoned buildings and stuff in my city but im wondering how to take it to the next level so to speak.
Like are guys like KAWS just spray paint buildings until they gained recognition or are there other things youre supposed to be doing to get better/more successful
>tl;dr i want to be a graffiti artist. does anyone have any tips/advice
so im into street art, and you want to start doing intricate stuff, if you wanna go to the next level its people letting you do murals and stuff, and then just everyone following post your stuff id love to see, i want to get back into it but ive been into other stuff atm
Post resembling art from japanese illustrators/artists. Appreciate the fantastic, futuristic art from the dear departed illustrator noriyoshi ohrai.
Another one
And another one

Hey i'm looking for courses like Dynamic Sketching 1 are there any similar but cheaper perhaps? I'm a poorfag and can't find any torrent.

they never open tho. check on the 1st and it never open for sign ups. is it a specific time zone? gmt?
i'm hopeless. i've tried doing loomis exercises and never have had the immediate success everyone seems to have. nothing I do looks good no matter what books I read and no matter what exercises I practice.
i can't even do the fucking picasso exercise right. i have no idea how to gauge the proportions of a line and transfer it onto the page.
i can pick up just about anything else and feel passable within 2-3 months. programming, music, cooking. but i cant put lines on a fucking page. kill me /ic/.
Felt the same way. Was wondering how the fuck everyone can do it so quick. Though I didn't have IT. The gift, talent, the spark. Figured it was impossible for me to git gud.
But nah, those faggots just have more experience. Sneaky fuckers always downplaying their success.
Fuck the picasso exercise. If you did it right, it wouldn't have mattered. If you did it wrong, all that means is you're normal.
Yeah art takes fucking forever to get passable at because you can't do anything remotely useful until you're like fucking a year in and that's only if you did everything right.
The loomis shit is just guide lines. Which help you with proportions slightly.
All you need to do is take a lot of time to measure until you get it precisely right. That's how you'll get proportions correct and shit. That's what the picasso exercise wants you to do. If you can do this, you'll be a god at drawing because all it is is measuring.
Brague is good for this. Really teaches you sight-size drawing. Also blind contour. Just fucking really take your time to measure. Even if it takes you up to 8 hours on one drawing. Get it fucking as close to perfect as you can.
>>2808074
thank you anon
>Brague is good for this
what/who is Brague?
>>2808081
Fuck autocorrect fucked me up. I meant bargue plates.
I used to want to work for Marvel. What do I do now to get into comics?
Am I imagining things or is Marvel comics basically all political correctness and social justice issues?
>>2808057
Is the dialogue real?
BTW I don't know but for sure you have to be able to draft the figure from memory
>>2808067
They've always been that. Super heroes in general.
does anyone have a link to download toon boom harmony 12 full version for windows?
you can get it on Kickass Torrents, but no promise if it will work or not. When I tried stealing it awhile ago everything in the program worked except it wouldn't let me draw so it was basically useles. Pretty sure it was an anti-pirate thing rooted in the program.
Anyone know any good animation programs similar to toon boom harmony. Ive tried Anime Studio Pro 10 but its basically only good for vector animation not sketches
ITT - faces you like drawing, models you keep coming back to, etc.

naturally.

This
Is this worth it for the price? I don't really buy sculptures a lot.
How useful/relied on are anatomy models as a reference?
its not worth it
learn from life/photos instead
or if you are at a museum, sure the sculptures are awesome
but if you need a 200 dollar sculpture for everything you want to learn to draw (in one pose) then youre gonna be bankrupt pretty soon
Also it's hand cast in resin, stands 7in tall.
Shipping to my country is around $50.
>>2808925
Well that is how I've been doing it until now, I just thought having it on hand would be useful.
There's also this guy's stuff I was looking at, prices are a bit lower and he has some interesting species (models show both muscles and skin).
Honestly I kinda like these for their looks as well as for anatomy study.

The person below you posts the most passable tumblr art they can find and tells the group exactly what's wrong with yours.
shit thread
we're all familiar with this monstrosity of a piece im sure
can someone recommend a good reasonably priced computer to use with the wacom 27qhd. preferably with a display port or some way to utilize the 27's full qhd graphic output. im having a hard because i dont really know whats what . preferably as cheap as you can get, i can upgrade ram and stuff later if i need to.
>>2809111
Try /g/ or logical increments and build one. Pretty much anything short of a toaster can run one, so it's all a matter of a lot of ram to run photoshop and a graphics card that has display port.
>>2809115
ok thanks anon. thats what i was thinking but i wasn't sure.
>>2809119
Anything short of 2k/4k monitors don't need much in the way of graphics power, but if you do 3d rendering or video editing or something like that you might want a workstation GPU.
do you think its possible for me to be able to draw like yoshitaka amano eventually, i sketch at least once everyday while looking at his work and im getting there but they still look off, p.s. show me your best yoshitaka amano style attempt
amano is one of my favorites for his colors and patterns.
i can do the eyes and hair and nose but the mouths and head size i have trouble with and i can do bodies yet. im use to doing landscapes.
>>2806542
You should spend less time contemplating whether you can do something and just put in the work you know you will need to do in order to get there.
well here's the bottom line.
I cancelled my stanford membership, dumped my girlfriend, and threw away all of my class books.
Such a waste of time. And for what? It's completely unnecessary and serves no purpose.
Accounting is not needed, especially in today's society where the expression, passion, and automation reigns supreme.
To be honest, the "business lifestyle" seems almost like a boring endeavour at this point, and I don't mean any disrespect, but it seems like the most serious businessmen (asides from guys who are legit lawyers/financers/company presidents but they represent a very low % of dedicated lifters) are also the people with nothing else going on in their lives.
I know this was true with me, I was biggest and most serious about money when I was still in uni, working only 15 hours a week, and pretty much just using around all the time, going out, living a real life.
To all you kids out there who are getting sucked into the business , try to stop yourself.
So long as you have and maintain decent drawing skills, you'll be fine.
Business just not worth it.
Cheers

Not your personal blog.
I wish that I could turn back time
cause now the guilt is all mine
can't live without the gains that I have lost
fuck off
sai, Photoshop or mngastudio
me on the right
I like sai's pen control and lines, but photoshop looks more like real paints, with great brushes and strokes.
Never heard of the other one.
I used Sai for a pretty long time until I was confined to a mac that was too shitty to run wine (the program that lets you open windows .exe's) and used clip studio since I picked it up for $15 bucks ages ago.
Clip studio definitely has a lot more to offer than Sai does from what I've explored so far (perspective rulers, frequent updates, 3D-models even, if you ever feel the need to go that route), but even it seems to pale in comparison to the plethora of tools photoshop has.
That being said, you can do almost the same quality of art in all three programs, albeit with different processes. I'm not sure how the brushes in each compare to each other though.
>>2794760
manga studio == clip studio paint, its just a rebranding/renaming I'm pretty sure.
When did you realize that you're not going to be a great artist?
>>2808476
so you never fantasized?
>>2808470
>implying you're not just baiting for the forced meme
>>2808493
im just asking cuz i realized im not gonna be a great artist, i was hoping for it, but i wont be one, probably at least.
Home alone on a Saturday? You better be working, Anon.

Of course I am, because I want to make it.
damn nigga the holidays literally just ended, I'm sure as shit not leaving my house into the frozen hellscape unless it's urgent.
