My room is empty as fuck right now, and the garish yellow paint is starting to annoy me.
My question is, do you think it would be arrogant/weird to frame my own paintings and hang them around my room? Just as decoration.
I think it's weird you your own art would make for good decoration for your room.
How good you are is irrelevant.
>>2811825
No it is not weird to hang your own shit on the walls. People hang photos of their retarded kids on their walls all the time. Hang your retarded kids on your wall, anon.
it's not weird. It is weird that you seek approval of random anons.
who where actually writes graff?

I find myself spending 4-6 hours on a single drawing a lot of the time. And usually I don't particularly like the way it comes out most of the time anyways. Should I focus on producing more work instead of trying to make something look "perfect"?
>>2811434
You're more likely than not just polishing turds, yes draw more
>>2811442
I'll post an example of what many consider to be my best piece of work from last year. I actually do like this one, but I know it has some problems. And I haven't been able to really render or paint as well as I did in this image.
>>2811469
And this is something I did today just as a 20 minute doodle.
What is your opinion on CGMA? Is it worth the money?
http://2d.cgmasteracademy.com/
>>2811106
I put money down on the perspective class with Oda and was thinking about getting in on lemon man but I can't find reviews. Plus his riley method is not attractive for me. And then there is nacorda and he explains stuff really well, better than Hampton, but he is Hampton light.
On the topic; are there any good anatomy courses (paid) that are out there? I don't mind paying top dollar just one that teaches good construction methods. Are there none online and all the good anatomist teachers are walled off in California?
>>2811110
Local artists and professors often do night classes at community colleges and fine art academies, You can also audit a credit course for relatively cheap. Anatomy for artists is a bit harder to find, but if you chat up enough artists, it's not hard to find one who will do it online or in person for regular tutoring rates $(20-35/h).
>>2811106
I took Peter Han's "Dynamic Sketching" class, and I'd say its worth it iff you're willing to put in no less than 20hrs a week into your studies.
That being said, I don't know if its your best option, cause that shit is expensive as fuck. If you have a nice and steady source of money then I'd say its worth the money, otherwise... I'd look for something more affordable.
Since I promised myself that this will be the debut year of my art I would like your opinion on some stuff that I have made, mostly is not finished but I try my best as an self taught artist. Never studied anything but started to get serious after 2012 before that I mostly did crappy-doodles and anime... I'll start with my most recent one:

Looks like clip art.
Because we should not have to make new threads or post in draw threads with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
AVOID asking unrelated questions, there is a question thread for that.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead (I recommend ShareX)
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

There's a new (and cleaner) sticky in town! You can see it at:

>Thread study: Try to draw/paint the opening or any other following images.
Feel free to post your original works as well if you're trash.
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
OLD THREAD: >>2808098
Previous Thread >>2799409
Post your current drawing here and provide helpful criticism and advice to others!
This is not a thread to discuss your autism, the rest of the board is for that.
Please make sure your posted image is clear, DOWNSIZED TO AROUND 1000 PIXELS WIDE, ROTATED TO THE CORRECT ORIENTATION, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one and then kill yourself.

Now get to work!
did this today
>>2806015
tell us how you really feel.
Why do people draw the female body way more often than the male body?
no one likes to draw cocks
>>2803730
Furries don't.
Why do people ask questions they already know the answer to on this fucking board?
Woman draw less than men, and fags are a minority.
It's not even debatable that Rebecca Sugar is one of the best female artists and creators alive. She put most make artists to shame with her ideas and fantastic art. I look up to her and view her as the end goal for my art career.
How do I become like her?
>>2803257
Well, you're already a faggot so that's minus one step.
You're not even trying but you'll get someone anyway.
>>2803257
She's got a fucking CN show. How's that being "One of the greatest female creators alive"?
I'm pretty sure she's becoming the Steve Jobs of Dumblr.
Hi, i'm 40 and I just recently got serious about drawing anime. I been practicing seriously for 2 years now and My wife says I have natural talent but I wanted to get a less biased opinion. What do you guys think? Please be as honest as possible, I'm used to people telling me that my art is good, just this morning my co worker said they wanted to hang it on the fridge
>>2810937
>>2810937
You have a wife and you signed your artwork as "Samantha"?
I'm not sure, but it looks a bit like bait.
Can you guys recommend me the best and most extensive courses on learning to digitally paint human figures and portraits?
I have good control in construction, anatomy and the basics, but feel a bit lost when it comes to digital values and color in the human figure and portrait.
I'm still new to digital, but one of my favourite artists is Krenz Cushart
>>2810417
bump
Another bump
Sounds like you haven't practiced values digitally yet, try to move away from copying values, but instead understanding lighting. I recommend the practical color DVD or look up "understanding color" and "understanding composition, " both by blenderguru on youtube. Loomis also covered values in Creative Illustration, I think.
Also if you're not so sure on figure drawing then practice Vilppu or Huston in both traditional and digital settings. I prefer Huston myself.
Just a tip, don't get fooled, if you start copying Krenz style without having his foundation, it'll be a crutch and you'll only be setting yourself up for a smaller clientele as in you won't be hired at certain companies if you can only draw animu. No offense, I love anime, but I know it's for a niche audience. Good luck, OP
What do I need to work on, rip me wide open /ic my anus is ready and quivering

Take a look around you.
Chances are you're in a house.
Guess what someone designed your house. Someone designed your computer. Someone designed your clothes. You know that tablet? I'm sure there was a small team who designed the look of that.
ANYTHING that you see, touch, use has literally been someone elses design.
You know those cubicles that you're going to be stuck in for 40 years? Someone designed that too. Your favorite movie? A bunch of creative teams built that.
To say that art isn't important is to be completely ignorant to the world you exist within. Anything you interact with: the chair you sit in, the desktop UI, any game you can think of, product packages, clothes, shoes, cars, houses, weapons, utility items, utensils, your bed...Everything has been created by an artist.
Art is literally everywhere, and yet you choose to leave this world where your ideas are not only valued, but consumed by the public. Artists create trends, styles, and brands. While just developing pretty illustrations is totally fine, an artist can literally be the creator of anything. UX designers literally create experiences. It may not seem like art, but you are still creating the way someone interacts with something else.
I'm sorry you have to go, and you won't be missed. Sure artists arent going to cure cancer, nor are we going to mix chemicals together. But artists create experiences, and that alone is much more powerful in the long term.
Art is worth it, but it isn't for everyone. Peace man, go into business management or head towards med school. Art can be compared to these other professions because of the amount of training and influence it has on the world. Anything else and you'll be REALLY wasting your life.
>>2810324
Holy shit is this what /ic/ has come to
What do you call this """art"""?
>>2806945
We would call it art.
Entartete Kunst
>>2806945
Texturing.
but you guys probably have no knowledge about that.
