have anyone here planned to work a few years in a shit job, save enough money to be able to afford a good art college overseas, maybe in europe?
>>2848889
No
I plan to make it
but why?
>>2848914
because self teaching is a meme that only people who not going to make it believe in it.
>but he was able to do it
but I wont
>Lives in Peru
>Has an idea
>Plans to learn animation
>Shitty payment for someone studying arts and design
>Gets help to inmigrate to USA legally
>Plans to suck Lord Trump's dick to get clean papers
>One year in CalArts costs about 50,000
>Only way to pitch the idea faster
I'll never achieve my dreams
>not pulling a Bahi JD

No complaints, if you really love it, you'll do it, amigo. Hijo de verga.
Just get good (https://www.youtube.com/user/eubasaban/playlists) and go indie for fug's sake you damn Peruvian.
Why move to the U.S. when you can stay home and take advantage of your country's deflated currency, racking up USD (https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_countries_result.jsp?country1=United+States&country2=Peru) over Patreon? Stay out of my beautiful country unless you're a 8/10 latina with big brown tiddies I can use for my own animation reference!
Looking for any opinions or critiques on this design before I print it up, much appreciated!
did /gd/ tell you it's shit so you had to come here
Unfortunately yes : ( and now I'm looking for love elsewhere.
Havent been in the painting mood in the traditional sense. So i bought a star wars model and painted that. Keep the juices flowing. This is after assembly with no paint.
Turned out pretty good
How would you define the art style of Star wars?
>>2848410
i would define it as the star wars style
If you mean the movies, it is like a calmer version of the concept art (pic related). Retro futurism-lit, with a 70s look. The movies toned it down a lot. But rebels is kinda trying to bring the clean, angled look back.
70s sci fi kitsch
hey guys im looking for a painting...
its lobsters around a white shell, pretty sure the backgound is blue, seems to be baroque painting.

Im the anon who posted a Harley Quinn poses thread thats in the catalog now and what is this?
>>2848396
What do you want to know?
So i wasn't sure if i should make a new thread or what but fuck it.
Im taking an oil painting class and my teacher will usually have us cover the canvas in a thin coat of linseed oil before we start. I haven't had any problems with this method so far. But i notice in tutorials online they tell you to mix your medium/linseed oil into the paint before it hits the canvas. Are both methods correct? If i wanted to could i do the "cover the canvas" method with another medium of choice like liquin??
>pic related, teachers self portrait
Also im kinda confused because i see some people use oil to thin the pain and i see others use turpenoids? Whats the deal with that?
Anon, just listen to your teacher. you can experiment later, or better yet, ask your fucking teacher. there's a billion different ways to use oils.
That's one angsty self-portrait. Holy fuck.

i was planning to ask him next week, had the thought earlier today while looking up tutorials for out of class practice. And the ADD side of me just wanted answers right away.
ok, fags.
here it's the deal.
I want to make a patreon and need some information.
>is pic related good enough to make money on patreon
>should I make it more animoo?
>how many tumblr followers should I have before making my patreon
>how much time does it take to make such quantity of followers
>what should be my rewards and how much should I charge for them
>got any inspirational patreon (in the sense that is a shit artist making cash)
>what are the fastest way to get tumblr followers
>how do I get tumblr followers
>what shit is hot right now
>what fandom should I pander
>got any experience regarding making a patreon
>how frequent should be my updates
>what happens if I don't update
I would love any input regarding my goal, I would love to make at least 1k monthly

Actually I think you might want to pose your request in the ref thread, someone there'll probably be glad to provide.
Last thread: >>2836785
This thread is meant for artists who might want to try to make anime works in-between their studies. It is strongly recommended that you use this thread in conjunction with learning the elements and fundamentals of art. You can also discuss the visual elements of various professional artists as well if you keep it relatively articulate and civil.
Submit your drawings, receive feedback or critique others! Share your knowledge and remember to thank those who've critiqued or red-lined your drawings. Most importantly, have fun!

Posting again here because I'm selfish.
I tried doing a bit of extreme perspective with the legs, but I feel like I wasn't too successful w/ the left one.

If you sit in that position you should notice that A) your knee doesn't touch the ground and b) it over laps your hand
>>2842671
Well now I feel silly for not trying out the pose myself beforehand. Thanks for the pointers.
