I've been having trouble hosting rooms in Drawpile. I set up the port forwarding for the program but every time I send out the room code my friends say the invite expired.

I was wondering if there was something I'm missing?

Anyone else aiming for more graphic design-y illustration? Seems like less effort and skill required to break in since your clients and employers go beyond internet commissions for anime girls and game studios. Even if your're dead set on concept art, it'd be a decent day day job learning the software, networking, doing art stuff rather than flipping burgers or at the call centre coming home to push out those 10 hours. Even if you don't 'make it,' you could transfer skills to doing publication work, editorials, motion graphics, etc. Seems like most people here are on the "e-fame/concept art/high fidelity illustration or nothing" train.

So this has been frustrating me for over a year now. It's about the conservation of paintings, in particular acrylic paintings on canvas. I also draw and I have taken care of that issue with fixative and framing behind glass. Now onto the acrylics.. I do not use fixative nor varnish on them because a. I don't want to compromise their appearance and B. It could harm the paint and other stuff. Anyways I frame them behind glass but can this substitute the varnishing or not? Can glass substitute varnish. Please find me the answer and rid of my misery. It literally seems like I have had the shittiest luck finding an answer to this. Also do paintings need to breath or should the backs be sealed as well? I hope someone thinks of this things besides me

One of the most impressive artists I've seen is Sabin Howard. His drawings are amazing. He has a website full of a bunch of webinars for sale, but they are expensive.

Anyone have any experience with his material?

Is it difficult to be an online and street artist at the same time . Street artists are locally known visit exhibitions and show their art to irl people. Online artists have more followers and a big community

I've been drawing for quite a while now and this board has helped a lot in me growing in skill and stuff, to the point where I think I'm pretty good (emphasis on think)
However I have a lot of underlying anxiety which is obviously a fear of doing bad work, so its hard for me to carry on to the point where I can do multiple hours of drawing in a day. I kinda stick to one or two line drawings, either studies or comic strips. I'm just wondering if anyone else has this problem or if someone here has found a way to ignore what the body says and stick to the "matter of fact" need to spend time drawing every day whether it comes out good or not.

Ok so I am trying to enlighten myself on the issue of painting conservation/ preservation. I know that it is suggested to varnish oil paintings after about 6 months to let them dry and to not put them under glass. Or at least that's what the internet says. What about acrylic paintings? I put mine under museum glass to avoid varnishing and or spraying fixative on them because I don't want to alter them in any way. Is this the best way to preserve them? For over a year I have been talking to people and searching the internets for one answer to no avail. Everyone says something different. I know that varnish protects them from dust, dirt, smoke and light but doesn't glass do all of that as well? Is it necessary to varnish paintings if they are under glass, especially acrylic paintings? If you know please let me know . I hope this is the right board for this..
