Alright, never posted here before so I don't know much. Basically I got these brushes for xmas last year because I do miniature painting but many of them are too big for the miniatures. So I am going to try to paint a picture of my D&D group's D&D party for them. Many of them have already made drawings of their characters so I have some reference images. The thing is, I bought these preprimed canvasses on sale, I don't know what kind of paint to use? (I have acrylic paints from my parents I can use but maybe some oils too I would have to look). I am not a real artist, pic related is how shitty my drawings are. But this is for my friends, not me. So I may need to cheat a bit. Certainly I am going to pencil stuff in first and work on it a lot before I start painting. Any advice for me, besides "don't do it"? I feel relatively confident I can paint something passable for us to hang on the wall of our game room, and for them to enjoy at xmas time.
Pic unrelated, except to show what a shit drawer I am.
I started a new gaming channel. What do you think of my first video?
Does anyone know which painting this is?
If funky/crazy or derivative/unimaginative modern architecture is bad, and going for pre-1900s styles is kitschy/non-authentic, what should the vast majority of buildings look like in an European city, i.e. residences and offices and not "special" buildings like theaters and such?
t. don't know shit about architecture, just want your view
They should have just continued down the same path they were on in the pre-war era. The styles changed, but the fundamentals remained the same.
Today everything is made of glass, steel and plastic, and everything is made up of simply geometric shapes. There are no details anywhere, and every building looks like some cheap, plastic gadget designed by Apple, that will be outdated in two years.
>European city, i.e. residences and offices
Think erosion and Kintsukuroi. The conservation of old neoclassic architecture with modern and expencive prostetics that insinuate a past that is not there anymore. Like the david statue on the children of man movie. All in the name of respect of the past and not a replica with parasitic elements like pipes, exposed metalic frames, skin covers or facade that floats in front of the old but disrespect with its presence, etc. Go look the prague of deus ex man kind divided and you will get it.
T.sorry for my brocken english. Not my main tongue
LF PDFs artbooks to learn some folds and clothing
Does Kats Avatar look like V 13 from Blaz Blue or is it just me??
I'm making my new stained glass/mural
I want some pixel art or something so give me some ideas
what's your opinion on lazy nezumi?
Making art is the only thing going in my life and I can't even do that. How does one go above being such a failure?
I am not even close to achieving any of my goals, I never had sex, I have no friends and no money. What kind of life is this? Am I being tested? If so, I am afraid I will be completely broken when I get to the point of success.
What's the point of being tested, if you are going to be fucked up at the end, really?
The worst part is I don't even know how I can fix myself. I am an average looking guy and I am not a sperg but I still can't succeed in any endeavour I pursuit. No one's out there to tell me, it was always just me and only me.
