honestly not that much original thought desu, alot of it is based of other things just with a bit of a spin.

I do recommend it, the more you draw the more in depth you get, and the more the ideas will flow.

depends on what kind of art you make. so far I've heard manga studio has absolutely amazing brushes for lineart. sai is very light and simple. photoshop is very useful for coloring and finishing due to its wide library for brushes and many options to mess around with colors.

I use Manga Studio and I love it, but if you're not big into line work I would recommend just pirating Photoshop

Thank you both for your advice. I do mostly line work, American style comic art.
I know Manga studio is fairly inexpensive, so I'll gladly pay out for that.
Photoshop on the other hand is... Wew.

Be a virgin. Don't even look at real life women or how they behave. This is your and only your male fantasy and no pesky reality will stop you from drawing your fetishistic imagery.

It's not photorealistic, and it was painted, pretty much all of it, although some elements are copied several times, and maybe there are photo parts way in the background or in textures and such (this is called matte-painting, and it allows you to make actually photorealistic art).

Btw, is there any other animators in /ic/? I'd love to start a thread dedicated exclusively to animations but I'm not sure this is the right board for something like that
