Are their 3d programs out there that can help you make backgrounds for a comic/manga?
I have been trying to master placing characters naturally in environments or giving characters dynamic poses but it is very time consuming to make backgrounds myself. In the end I feel like having a 3D workspace to easily manipulate settings would benefit me in the long run. I feel as if GANTZ used a lot of 3d structures but I am not too sure.

I started drawing seriously in 2016 and this year I decided to study Graphic Design at College but just now I realized something. I don't really like what they teach me because I can literally learn that by myself. Has anyone dropped College because of something similar?
get your credits dummy
That's what /ic/ has been saying for years. You can learn it all on your own or have other people force you to do things you don't want to do and learn at a slower rate. The best thing you can get at a school is critique, and if you're not there for that, it's kind of useless.
Damn near so many times. Its not worth the years I invested into it.
Why do you create art?
better than creating farts right? lol
>>2975734
because of the voices I hear every night and morning
Because it is one of the few things that has held my interest over decades and without being creative I wouldn't want to be here
I want to start making webcomics, which tablets you guys would recommend to a poor fuck like me ?

surrealist painting, who else here is a fan or surrealism?
Nice painting, desu.
Never tried the style myself, but I am a fan.
Dali is the best surrealist.
I like Juan Miro.

I like these threads.
Your work is too good for this meme, sorry.

You can always redraw it yourself.
Is it possible to get tired of art? I've commissioned a bunch of stuff over the last 2 years and I've loved everything the artists have done for me. But this last week I've been thinking that I've got what I can best describe as art fatigue. I just have lost all will to commission again, I still love art but I'm just tired?
Sounds like you are just tired of spending money on a bunch of art. If I bought pants every month after awhile I'd have so many pants I wouldn't know what to do anymore. Maybe you should just take a break.
>>2990468
Yes it's possible.
Do anything too much too often & you'll get bored, that's normal!
It's your brain suggesting you to take a break.
>>2990478
How long of a break is good for the brain to reset?

Is there a way to not lose interest?

Post your current drawing here and provide helpful criticism and advice to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, DOWNSIZED TO AROUND 1000 PIXELS WIDE, ROTATED TO THE CORRECT ORIENTATION, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost it.

Did a quick still life with the same concept as the landscape in the last thread. Much easier once I used simpler subject matter. Still a very perspective heavy exercise, but the more I do it the more I'll learn
was gonna do a bunch of thumbnails but then spent an hour on this
a guy from a comic im working on
I've been stucked with this for a week and can't came up with an idea to finish it. I want to keep the "watercolor tumblr eyes" style but everything that comes out from me is crap.
looks done to me if you wanted to expand upon it you should have started with a something this looks like the absolute foreground to me but to be honest i hate coloring so

sign it and sell it. if you were going for a full head pick up Loomis and learn construction since you clearly haven't done enough heads to wing it like you tried to here.
I'd like to share some of my favourite paintings. Please enjoy!
Hey can someone help me out? I got this skateboard I woodburned and it turned out ok other than the fact it's incredibly dull. I want to improve it but scared to ruin what I've put in so far.i was thinking wood dyes but Google isn't really helping when I search for what could possibly be best materials and techniques. Im also very amateur with a wood burning pen so i dont think i should try shading but maybe additional designs? Any tips or thoughts would be much appreciated
Varnish?
Barnish
Is this going to be used for real skating?
If so, I wouldn't worry about messing up the coloring of it. That shits going to be destroyed in the first couple hours
most abstract art i have found after many searches on multiple sites is purely about design, color, and composition.
i like kandinsky's work because it is more imaginitive and seems to depict something otherworldly in the forms and shapes he creates.
does anyone know artists like him?
>>2992598
the reason you like kandinsky is because there's texture and brushwork in his abstract paintings. the work you don't like is the ones that masquerade as things made by robots and algorithms. Kandinsky's work even if it's abstract is pulling from the same well of aesthetics as Picasso and Cezanne. Why do you need more artists like him, though? You already have him.
>>2992605
some fractal art is very cool
kandinsky got stuck in his style, creating the same forms and tropes over and over. he could have gone farther. besides, i want to see what other people can bring to the table
