So, I've been seeing this girl who is also an "artist." Everyone thinks she is hot shit because her characters have an uncanny likeness. Little do people know, she traces. I can't take her seriously yet deep down I think she thinks she is more skilled. She is a fucking hack. No respect.
I dated her for 3 years and never seen her freehand
draw. She is not an artist.
<--- if u think this is better than ...
....this, you are part of the problem
>>3125504
kek, I'm with you anon. Plebs give too much credit to hyperrealism, which is actually relatively easy to do. If you want a super realistic drawing, why not just take a photo?
>>3125522
She is so cheap and academic.
Serious question.
Why do we have a porn thread instead of the porn thread being over at >>>/aco/ ?
Get critique from those who consume your art + chance to promote yourself instantly. I mean, if someone asks on here
>blog?
That's a fellow artist who is not gonna buy from you. But on /aco/ you will actually build a following of folks who might commission or recommend you...
>>3125403
We've had porn threads here before /aco/'s inception. But you make a point; since those threads often times fall off the face of the board for weeks at a time.
However, it is a necessary thread to keep porn out of the draw and style threads.
You might aswell just join a drawthread on /a/, /v/ and many other boards. It would slowly turn into "draw my request or fuck off" thread anyway.
>>3125403
thought you could only post deliveries there?
I've finally moved to a bigger place where I can get a room set up to be a dedicated studio. However, all the walls are totally blank. I'd like to hang up some of my favorite art pieces for inspiration while I'm working. However, since I'm not a Rothschild I'll never be afford the originals, so I'll have to get a print or something instead. And maybe some sculpture casts as well.
Where do you guys get your reproduction art prints and casts from?
Also, more generally, how do you decorate your studio?
There's a couple of copyhouses in my town where they allow you to print anything on a paper of your choosing. It's affordable, a high quality print on A2 glossy paper costs ~3/4 euros. You only need to bring an USB key. Might be worth to check if there's any such shop where you live.
More generally, I have a couple of posters and prints, and a big wooden plank crumbling under my a3/a4 shitty art pinned on it.
>look at me i have my own studio
Fuck off
>>3125447
It's just a room where I can do my art in, nothing fancy. Besides that was clearly not the point of my thread, so kindly fuck off.
IF YOU ARE A /BEG/INNER IN ART, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the Drawthread with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller
#3)
>send to computer and resize in MSPaint

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

Did you learn anything?
Are there any good discord servers for artists?

I personally like threads where artists show their work and get critique.
This is like 2 hours painting.
>>3125137
Good for a 7 year old, keep it up!
You probably should not be here though....
>>3125258
load this shit up
>>3125032
probably not for the best to start this off with your art anon
>>3125032
bump
if I call my art avant-garde, then I never have to improve my technique, right
If you feel comfortable and happy about your art, then no.
>>3124750
>then I never have to improve my technique, right
Depends on what you want
When are you going to admit that 3D animation is technically more impressive, complex, and proficient than 2D animation is.
>>3124403
It really depends on the final piece. If mucha had decided to animate, his work would certainly btfo dreamworks.
>>3124403
>technically more impressive, complex, and proficient than 2D animation is
I mean. It is. A lot of work goes into making 3D animation, in ways that are completely unnecessary for 2D animation.
Doesn't make it better.
Can i please get some help/crit on this face? I've been staring at it for way too long and even flipping horizontally throughout the image Im losing the ability to see whats wrong. A co-worker has said her face is too wide probably because the eyes are too wide. I'm struggling to tell the difference between "thats the style" and whats actually shit & weird looking
Thank you
>>3124378
the eyes are unsettling. She looks like an alien. The eyes are way too wide. "b- but muh style" your style is shit
>>3124387
I've always drawn "alien" looking type girls because im shit. but that makes it increasingly difficult to tell how to fix it which is why im asking for help, would you care to redline please?
>>3124389
Why don't you just study eyes from reference? Delete your anime reference sub-file and get some LOOMIS.
Whats the deal with artists these days charging so low for their works?
Back then pic related would charge $50 for a sketch at the minimum.
Don't they know how to market themselves?
It's literally a minimal wage tier, I don't understand those people.
>>3124040
because its shit tier works and some porn crap of anime girls?
i never charge less for 80$ for a character, but then again i actually care about lineart and coloring.
>>3124040
Maybe you should have posted an example that isn't complete shit.
Hand thread?
gay
>>3123894
Fag
there was a hand drawing thread some while ago where you rolled to determine how many hands you had to draw.
>roll 83
>well shit
Why are dunning kruger artists so obsessed with buying really over priced art supplies?
The other day I over heard a couple of them talking about paper imported from Japan that they bought that costs like $4 for a huge sheet of it.
And here I am drawing in an old beaten up composition notebook with a cheap mechanical pencil.
>>3123078
this is not good bait
>>3123078
They think it will make their art better.
>>3123087
What makes you think its bait?
Hey what websites should I use to post all my NSFW shit on (+maybe some SFW stuff)? I was thinking tumblr but they've been shutting down some NSFW shit on there so I'm just not sure anymore. Plus, I don't know much about tumblr as much as literally every other social media site because I'm not sjw trash, so I'd have to learn the ropes. Anyways, I'd prefer it to be a website where I can network and build an audience and maybe even some friends.
Just a little background: I'm pretty good at 2D (imo anyways), although I'm pretty rough at inking, and I'm gonna delve into 3D because I want some of that SFM munny. I plan on making some degenerative shit. Probably futa and maybe even bestiality, because afaik you make more money and have more dedicated fans when you do more hardcore stuff. But, if need be, I could go a little less edgy if I can reach more people on a platform that'd support me because I don't exactly have a passion for being a degenerate lol.
Sorry for making this simple question long. As a reward, I made you a cute elf girl. Anyways, what would you guys recommend? Also if you have any advice on making money off of art like commissions, branding, advertising, etc. that'd be highly appreciated!
>>3122549
Who is the artist on OP's pic?
>>3124490
That's my art lol (op here)
You could post on pixiv, they allow any kind of degenerate shit on there
I'm tired of seeing this autistic kid spam all the boards with his DA tier art. Not to mention, this faggot is always making threads about himself asking if he's better than X artist. He's gotten btfo'd like 3 times this week and he's still talking shit.
Like dude, we get it, your parents didn't give you any attention as a kid, to the point where you barely got breastfed which explains your low IQ. But seriously, ban this fucking faggot.
To be honest, he has the potential to be the next yoshinari/krenz; isnt he like 17 right now?
>>3121216
>saying the f word.
lol
