The actual pottery is awesome and looks well made. I think you can work on your color choices as nothing seems to go together.I would brush up on how color works with design. In fact, I would just work on designing in general, but the colors stand out.

I'm also wondering if you've used glaze. However, if your producing pottery at that skill level, I would imagine you have. But you should be using it, everything thing will look much better.

But I think what you're supposed to do is draw people around you. This way you get a sense of fashion, anatomy, light, etc. And it's true to your reality which is what art is supposed to be I guess.
I'm gonna bump this because I need reference material also. (I don't go outside very much)
