I drew this "art". Im beginner so can i get some critique to improve later. Thanks for any comment ;) . _.
Dude anyone who post in this thread is going to rip you apart.
If you're not a troll, here is my advice. Draw for at least an hour and a half a day, every day for a year. Then you will progress. Its literially nothing but that. Find images and drae them over and over until you like it. Good luck heres proof I know what I'm talking about
>>3025645 is ur example good?
>>3025650
Its sideways
Do we have some guys who can tell
how much does this original cost?
It's "Tragiczna Muza" by Wyspiański
>>3025116
100$ (one character) + 20$ (background)
>>3025116
Ok, first things first:
1. It's not portrait of "the tragic muse" Eliza Pareńska, but her sister Maryna.
2. It's hard to locate "Portret Maryny Pareńskiej 1902". AFAIK it's in private hands, but in 2016 it was hanged in the National Museum in Wrocław. If I'd have to ask, I'd mail or call that place first:
http://www.mnwr.art.pl/
3. You have to check the status of such art because Stanisław Wyspiański is like one of the few actual artists that Poland had and is proud of and his work is national treasure, so it nearly certainly is protected by law in some way.
4. I'm pretty sure the answer is simply "you aren't rich enough". Wyspiański is popular on polish art auctions and was scoring record high in 2011 with the portrait of Eliza Pareńska for around ~1 million zł which is something like $250k.
His less known sketches and pastels go AFAIK for around 30k zł ($7.5k) nowadays. A week ago Agra Art auction tried to sell his 2 pastels, 1 didn't sell with starting price $18.8k and the other sold for $61.3k.
So...yeah. IF you are still interested rich american jew that is enamoured with Wyspiański, call this auction if they know anything.
http://www.agraart.pl/nowe/nowe/search/gallery.php?off=0&curr=PLN&sch=3&ord=da&s=1&gal=1&str=wyspia%F1ski
Also there are like 4 other art auctions in Poland that I know of: DESA Unicum, Sopocki Dom Aukcyjny, Rempex, Polswiss Art. All of them except "Sopocki Dom Aukcyjny" and "Rempex" sold Wyspiański before.
I am obsessed with the work of The Pit, please tell me everything I need to learn / work on to match his skills

>not being able to appreciate artistic skill over the subject of a drawing.
>getting triggered by fetishes.
not gonna make it.
fidget spinner is life
You've reached a new low
>Tfw i actually find these stupid fucking things helpful
Every time i feel myself becoming unfocused or starting to procrastinate, i give it one big, autistic spin and i'm good to go.
Do you guys know what brush the artist use for the lineart of pic related?
Every single attempt of me trying to replicate it wound up being too dark or too light.
>>3024243
lowered opacity, stable stroke size hard brush.
Something you'd find in sai or medibang
>>3024247
is stable stroke size 100% min size
>>3024250
Yeah, that's what I meant
How do you "feel the form"? Is there a tutorial or some non-vilpu video?
Imagine groping a titty
That's how you feel a form.
when you paint, think of sculpting a piece of clay rather than putting down flat lines that don't have any depth
I made a tutorial on how to draw a beautiful woman from imagination. Hope it helps.
Trying to draw an overhead view of London heading out towards the Thames, I can't find a decent 3D model because they're all pay to use things.
Anyone got anything like it or general tips on drawing a cityscape? Shits hard to get started and I want to get it accurate to how it looks.
Plus the whole vanishing point perspective thing, I've never liked it, but I get why it's needed.
>>3022830
Just make your own 3d model. Should be quite fast in sketchup to just have simple blocks for buildings.
>>3022830
Why not google earth?
The 3D feature is pretty accurate.
How can I make this BETTER?
(It's a title logo)
The squiggle under the R looks like a christmas tree at the end of a candy cone. Could use some work stylizing that to look better.
The whole tribal thing also looks very disjointed from the text itself in how it's just barely touching/overlaid at the bottom.
>>3025177
something outlining the letters to keep it seperated from the background
>>3025177
>ember
>puts shitty fire texture
I mean, you don't need to go full literal, friendo. Use color or forms instead of fire and shit like that.
I think I'm too anxious /ic/. How do I overcome this fear of critique. Today I put up a picture online which I'm generally okay with doing because no one looks at them anyways. But someone asked me how much I was selling one of my pieces for. I kinda freaked out and deleted my profile
you stop being a bitch.
seriously its not a big deal to get critique
just accept it and move on.
if its overly harsh just ignore the rudeness and listen to the advice.
its not going to physically harm you . you will be ok.
and if someone is asking how much you are selling something for you are probably doing alright.
>>3024222
It gets way easier with time
like, i was super anxious when posting my first piece, but after a while it gets easier and you embrace it.
You just need to make an effort, now. :)
>>3024222
you'll eventually mellow out, OP. if you were asked on your prices, your art is probably pretty decent! try again. you don't really want to amuse self destructive behavior if you can help it. but again, it happens to the best of us.
Is E3 a time of mixed emotions for anyone else?
I always watch the streams and see all the people having a good time, feeling fulfilled and satisfied with where they're at in their lives.
I imagine what it would be like to work in the games industry as an artist. Having peers with similar goals, working together on a project that is bigger than any one individual.
It's a time of depression because it's another year that I am older and working a job I don't care about, but also motivation because I want in. It's the only thing I can see myself doing and enjoying.
I can't fail. It's do or die.
You and us all.
>>3023357
What do we do? How do we get in?
>>3023360
Just keep working at it. All the efforts will pay off eventually. It's either slow down and die or keep going and win.
there was a user here who posted all of the FZD assignments a while ago, i somehow lost the files. Anyone have the link?

We need to sticky this.
>>3025766
have you gone through this stuff and used it? Do you just look at the work that was done and extrapolate the assignments? It seems like term 1 has the actual detailed assignments then term 2 and 3 doesnt.
Let's do this.
>>3016347
How'd I do?
>>3016355
submit that to the japs. Might be the next starter pokemon.
I wanna know on a technical level what is the best type and weight of paper for penciling or inking and what paper you guys use.
I've used 80 and 100 grams with paper from a local producer and Leuchtturm1917 with Staedler pigment liners. It's nice, but would it be no difference if I swap to print paper?
> inb4 /beg/
> inb4 go digital, faggot.
>>3019281
What are you inking with? If you are just using ballpoint pens and pencil then printer paper is fine.
>>3019297
Staedler pigment liners 4+2 (0,05 - 0.8) kit and Marvy Uchida pigment brush.
>>3019300
Felt tip markers need a heavier paper, you are going to want 130-120 (80lb) gsm paper. Are you concerned about ghosting and bleed through on the paper? Because certain do papers perform differently.
Why is everyone here so obsessed with digital painting? It's something that won't ever bring you forward, isn't it? Normis wanna pay money for art that is made with real paint colors, a brush and not in photoshop and printed out. Also it doesn't cost much to buy watercolors, acrylic paint, brushes and paper.
>>3018959
>(you)
>>3018959
Aye, but shits expensive so I'd prefer to have full knowledge of value control and process before I start running off that 200 limited print run dolla.
>>3018959
Most people here seem to have the goal to become professionals, not hobbyists, so naturally they'd have to use digital.
Found these in the attick. Brand new. Looked on amazon and they go for like $20. Are they a solid choice for a complete beginner with colored pencils, or should I go for a set of Prismacolors?
>>3025647
This is really good to start with. Just worry about getting values and stuff down. When you feel limited by them you wanna get fabercastell polychromas those are the best. no need to stop in between at the prismacolors. theyre not much better than those cheap ones.
