A lot of people say learn perspective but here is a disagreement as to what to learn. I read perspective made easy a long time ago( I should probably read it but it doesn't seem comprehensive enough)
Here are the sources I plan on using for perspective learning this year:
Marshall Vandruff Lectures + Framed perspective(trying to make a comic)
I've heard mention of Erik Olson 90 hour perspective course, it seems really dry, do you guys think it's necessary to go through that or is it just for autists?
I've also heard of Scott Robertson but i'm thinking it's more aimed towards people who wanna work in industrial design.
Thoughts?

It's all the fucking same. Find a method you would like to study and study it, then try it out.
Personally, I recommend Scott Robertson's How to Draw, but it has some VERY technical stuff in it if you don't understand it from the get go. However it does a great job of explaining some things like how to freehand ellipses.

Adam Warren is an extrenely skilled comic artist, but holy shit it makes le so sad that he still draws those frog faces, but at this point he could draw better but he doesn't for some reason, everything in his art has evolved except the faces which is the most important part. It makes me sad. I can't enjoy his works, everything looks perfect except the face.
And I truly believe the face is what keeps him away from getting more recognition,
if you read empowered, it's on the same level as Yusule Murata except the facials.

I agree with this 100%, I'm sure it's a common sentiment on Warren. I think he forced himself to steer away from the typical 80s manga style and that's what he ended up with.
He would be one of the best comic artists in the West.

When it comes to texture, the only way to learn is to practice it. Look up pictures of latex suits and copy them. As for tips, if you are going for shiny, then make sure your colors are saturated, and that your highlights are bright white. Also experiment with brushes, because the highlights on latex often has this distorted fish eye look to them.
