IF YOU ARE A /BEG/INNER IN ART, please use this thread to post pieces for critique or ask for advice. We should not have to make new threads or post in the Drawthread with our fundamental exercises.
Feel free to post even the smallest exercise you have done to show you are still trying, do not give up, make someone proud.
RESIZE YOUR IMAGES TO ~1000 PIXELS:
#1)
>screenshot the image and post that instead
#2)
>change camera capture settings to something smaller

TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - many studies are left unreplied, which is a bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.
OLD THREAD: >>3047983
How do I get steadier hands? When I move my wrist side to side and up and down, I always seem to get this weird jittery motion. Can this be trained away, or am I fucked?
>>3052154
kinesiotherapy
not even jocking, I started doing it for a fucked up ring finger, and I learned exercises for all my fingers and now I can do lines better day by day (I am still in recovery)
>>3052171
Isn't that only for when your shit is fucked up? I've always had this, even since I was a lil bab
>>3052154
Trace artists with great lines and draw a lot of ellipses. Everyone starts with shaky hands but you'll learn to control it with time
I use Krita because of it's large set of tools and it's free.
PS because of tools and I already knew it b4. Just don't feel like bothering with other programs

Same op.
>>3047635
Clip Studio Paint
Photoshop bugged out with my tablet, it was cheap, and it works great for drawing. Not that I have much experience with that many other software.
discuss good drawings books also post pdf :D including this one LOL
been looking for that book

Don't we got an artbook thread? If so, ask over there instead of making your own thread.
If you have one that helps you break down the body in simple 3D shapes please post

So basic what would you do post, but my friend are tired of my shit so better ask strangers right.
I've been a tattoo artist for 2 years. I paid to apprentice (which I don't recommend doing ever!) His shop is in the middle of really animated neighborhood in Montreal but he doesn't know how to advertise his business. anyway, I'm starving there. There's not enough job for all artists.
My art is not getting any attention, because Montreal is filled with black worker and scratcher how think they can tattoo and really are making cover up material, so the city is saturated. But since I won't prostitute my art I don't get to tattoo. Moving city is not an option for now because I can barely pay my rent.
Now I'm in the vicious circle where I don't tattoo, so no experience, no experience = shitty tattoo, shitty tattoo = no more motivation = no motivation = no more fun drawing.
Money is going low, motivation is dead, and realistically weed is the only think keeping me alive those days. Beside quitting, I don't know what to do, all my friends are busy with their life and parents are not there anymore to give advice.
If i quit then I'll regret it, because I'll let all those assholes who told me I couldn't do it win, so I'm only driven by spite. but then tattooing is the source of my stress and misery because I depend on it. The last 2 tattoo I did from my own drawing I paid from my pocket to do it (and they do look good, no doubt about my capacity to do illustration).
What would you guys do? On a rational level? Tricks, advices?
Pic related of some drawing I did
>low on money
>smoking weed
Stop smoking, it costs money and kills motivation.
>>3051202
I tried in the winter to quit, but then I got so depressed that I was thinking at every possible way of killing myself and even went to get prescription for sleeping pills. The only reason why I wouldn't do it it's because I didn't want my roomates to find me.
>>3051204
Do it somewhere else then. /thread
what do you guys like to do to get inspired? I started drawing for fun two years ago, but I found that when I made the transition from "drawing for fun" into "trying to improve" it became monotonous and actually made me draw less.
Please share anything cool that has inspired/motivated you recently.
That's funny, whenever I draw straight-forward studies, it always gets out of hand and becomes something very baroque and peculiar. I'll post one soon enough in the sketchbook thread if it doesn't embarrass me.
That's a hard question to answer. I guess I'm self motivated.
Before I start drawing I might browse /v/, /a/ or /fa/ for a few minutes until I find something that catches my eye and gives me an idea to put on paper. Otherwise it's just a strong vision to see my ideas for characters in a video game one day.
pic related is something I just grabbed from my inspo folder.

My fucking sides kek
Keep on painting
Paint everyday
Pay attention to reality when you do your still lives, there are so many subtle things that you can find if you look hard enough
>the subtle changes in colour as you get further from the lightsource
>the subtle reflection on a smooth surface
>the change in temperature of a shadow
>the colour of another object glowing and being reflected in a nearby object
>the way objects further away get closer and closer to the colour of the atmosphere
Paint everyday, read books like 'Color and Light by James Gurney', 'The Student's Guide to Painting by Jack Fragasso', 'How to Render by Scott Robertson' and 'Alla Prima by Richard Schmid', they talk alot about the subtle traits of realism. Most importantly you have to paint alot to get used to it, practice makes perfect
I can only draw for an hour or so before the depression eats me up.
>Go visit a doctor
No, I don't want depression being on my record. That will be detrimental for the career i'm pursuing.

>>3051510
Looks like you projected the picture of a man's face onto the canvas, traced it, filled it with shitty colors, then drew a really crappy astronaut helmet around it all.

is magic the gathering one big meme when it comes to its art?
The art was a lot better and had more character to it back before the influx of digital artists.
>>3051297
this, its a physical game with physical cards so it only makes sense that the art is made of physical materials. Digital just cheapens it.
>>3051285
they look better miniaturized on cards
Does doing commission work make you stagnate?
>>3052950
It depends on the type of work. Often it can push you to improve because it forces you out of your comfort zone. But if it's really low paying shitty work where you are forced to take shortcuts or pump things out at like 70% of what you are capable then you will stagnate.
