what do you think about this shit?
period?
hell /ic/ raye my space nebula watercolor masterpiece
>>3057151
kinda shit
>>3057192
Go fuck yourself then.
It sucks, you should learn how to draw.
Can I use amateure webcam porn photos as a reference for a porn comic or would I possibly get sued for copyright infringement? (Pic not related)
There's no copyright on that shit, it's perfectly legal. Some japanese manga/doujin artists even trace real photos and get away with it. Go ahead and use it as reference, nobody's going to find the original picture anyway.
>>3056571
even if it was copyrighted how on earth would anyone find the source material
>>3056612
I recognize that bulge.
>27
>Aspie but the kind with no skill
>Also have ADHD. My hands seem to always be shaking a tiny bit, be so since I was a kid.
>Want to draw anime girls and medieval fantasy shit.
>Draw like a complete spastic.
Is there any point carrying on?
>>3056417
With living? No.
If you can endure years upon years of crushing feelings of inadequacy and just generally being unsatisfied with your skill level, then go for it. Learning to draw is an amazing journey, but it crushes your soul and your ego.
If that sounds unbearable then its probably not for you.
>>3056417
A-Are those actual doritos stains on your drawings. pls respond
>art stream
>guy asks artist for 4 character drawing doing some kind of shit outside
>full color full render the whole deal
>artist says $100
>"WOAH holy shit that much? sorry I thought it would be like $30"
>literally not even $20 an hour
>plumber makes more to unclog your poopoo
>video game streamer makes more just for shouting some memes
>office manager makes more falling asleep at his desk
Why are some people so cheap when it comes to art?
>>3056372
If your audience are some cheap plebs/teens that are paying for art from their allowance, then this is how it looks like.
It's exactly the same as graphic designer doing $50 logo. And there are people doing $50 000 logos.
>>3056372
Plumbers make a lot of money
>>3056372
why do you feel entitled to earn more than a plumber? are you way more skilled than the /ic/ average?
In an ideal market, a desirable job should have a lower monetary compensation than an undesirable one.
What would you do if you woke up and you found that all of your work, whether digital or traditional, had been destroyed and there was no way of restoring it?
>>3055671
you can't catch feelings with your artwork if it's selling. no matter how dope that shit is you gotta be ready to say goodbye. and you gotta be confident enough to KNOW that you'll make shit no matter what.
so - i'd buy more supplies and rebuild.
>>3055671
Meh. I destroy most of what I do already because I hate my art so much.
>>3055671
Keep drawing. My new pieces will be better than everything that was destroyed.
>artist you like starts a patreon
>paywalls almost everything
>the free shit are all low res
>deletes his old stuff and reupload them in low res
Do you support any of the greedy fucks that does this?
What is the ideal Patreon set up for the actual artist, supporters, and freeloaders?
>>3055032
just make one and continue doing your shit
if you paywall or start uploading low res crap im putting you on my blacklist and I will shit on you on sight.
>>3055033
So just use Patreon as a glorified tip jar?
Who here also uses Classical Mediums and techniques? I'm interested in what resources everyone else studies. I'm having a hard time finding books/blogs etc. that don't rely on an impressionistic/modern view of how to construct a painting. There are a few out there that touch on it, but I'm looking for methods of the Venetian School, or the Dutch masters, or any academic 19th century oil application.
I'll post a few progress pics, but how has the grind been for other traditional artists? I know I have a long way to go, but I'm not sure how fast I should be progressing. Ive been painting with intent for about a year and a half now. I'm redoing the cloth currently, but this oil painting was about 10 hours of work from initial sketch to this point.
>>3053563
Here was one of my first experiments with oil painting around the time I started taking art seriously. Its a simple glaze over a sketch on a 3x3 canvas. So far the goal has been to become more realistic and recognizable. Now that I'm starting to get there, I'm getting stuck with how I should progress.

Damn. That's awesome. Thanks for the link. Back to the grind I spose.
Hi, it's dd. Some faces, don't know what to say.
Hi OP, it's Anon. Post in /beg/, thank you.
>>3056668
Share your recent pixelated turds!
I'm a beginner, trying to learn the ropes. Threw this together today. Got any pointers or advice for this'un?
>>3056907
Hi OP, it's Anon.
Please post your piece in the Pixel Art General Thread:
>>3029075
Thank you.
I see anon's often answer the same questions several times and get fed up by it
Can we by any chance have a QnA/frequently asked questions thread so that whenever someone has a frequently asked question we can just point them to it?
We already have a questions thread, but I think this might be a great addition to the sticky.
>>3055546
Depends who writes it. For example, people are prone to shilling reddit's drawabox, and loomis is a board meme. But are they the best answer to everyone's questions? The number of artists who went professional without touching anything of the sort says no.
There is no "one size fits all" solution to creating art. People are answering the same question again and again, but those questions are coming from vastly different people.
If you're sick of giving critique to each person, leave the board. Don't make an FAQ to do your work for you.
>out on the street
>encounter a familiar face
"Hi anon how have you been?" Still doing those mad drawings!?"
>"y-yeah I guess"
>"I've seen them of X or Y social media site, great work man!"
>"s-sure thanks"
mfw I know they see it but never comment on it or like it,that's fine, but why commenting on it irl when obviously they don't give a shit about it?
Why do normies do this?
They just love knowing they have a creative friend. You enrich their spirit, but maybe you don't edify their mind enough?
>>3051255
I was in art highschool and all the people who do this to me were in high school or are in college now in art related degrees(architecture, graphic design, product design and so forth)
So I don't think it might be that
I really want to understand this in a physiological way
I'd never to this to anyone.I would just not mention it and pretend like I've never seen it
>>3051248
Some people do not want to draw attention to themselves by clicking like.
But in person they feel more comfortable then on internet.
Do I really need a graphite stick, plastic plane, mirror, and viewfinder to use this? Is it not possible with just pencil + paper?
The book is a great introduction to drawing, but it can be discarded after pretty much the first or second chapter.
>>3051003
This is all from the start of the second chapter.
Just get Keys to Drawing.
It's the superior book.
Drawings that started out as a joke.
>everything
I don't do critical drawings, everything is intended as flattery but winds up as a joke.
Where can I find the videos of Scott Robertson`s Book How to draw
Really need then
