The Fall of the Rebel Angels is an oil-on-panel by Flemish renaissance artist Pieter Bruegel the Elder, painted in 1562. It is currently held and exhibited at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium in Brussels.

why bother when there will always be faggots like you to spoonfeed him?

is there a need for one? Im speaking violence, too many people are becoming "artists" and those people drown out quality by praising(bumping) each other constantly.

I'd imagine mediocre fucks like you should be thankful for every single artist who is worse than them. If there were only good artists left, you'd be fucked.

There was an anon who says that he use a gamepad for hotkeys while drawing digitaly. Can anybody show me how its work? I mean one hand holding pen and the other one holds something that actually designed for 2 hand use.

has it never occurred to you that they've made one handed versiions.
plus the one in your pic isnt even meant for two hands
>>
I have the one on the right, but use it for gaming. I would assume Anon is using it for keyboard shortcuts since it's programmable. If you're working on a Cintiq-like device or tablet with no shortcut sidebars, it can see it being handy.

I was always wondered - how many of you are fat?
How it affects your art? Or may be you fat because all you do is sitting and drawing?

I mean...how can you be fit if you drawing in non stop? I work as freelance artist and cant have any time for weight loss.
1) drawing 6-8 hours a day is a norm for me. Usually im getting very upset if i didnt finish 1 drawing during a day or two. So i always spending a lot of day-time for it.
2) I have my own ideas besides job so i [always] sitting here and drawing.

Im fat. I do some exercises that take me 10-20 minutes. But thats not enough to lose weight.
It's just...when im asking myself what to do - to finish a picture or work out i obviously will choose a picture.

Im confused. I see some artists better than me and they are quite normal by body shape. How they manage to do that?

Maybe they don't eat as much or dedicate some more time into their fitness on a separate day or simply schedule things better. If you're sitting around all day you don't need much food anyways.

Simple design, they are easy to recognize just by silhouette
Charismatic one-way personality without too much depth
Some peculiarity ( their voice, their clothes, some one-line, anything that makes them unique )
Easy to pronounce-remember names

I'm not sure if I should post this on /gd/ or here, but I'm looking to buy a Cintiq 13HD with Touch capabilities. As of right now, it's the closest thing to the iPad (only with added pressure sensitivity and compatibility with tools such as SAI and FireAlpaca) that I see fit, but is it really worth it? If not, what other small drawing tablets would you recommend?
Here's some of my must haves when it comes to tablets:
- Must have a screen built in
- Works with Windows 8 and/or 10
- Works with Paint Tool SAI, FireAlpaca, MediBang Pro, and GIMP
- Touch/Pinch and zoom capabilities

Years ago, i've made the big mistake of spending a lot of money by buying a cintiq 21ux to start learning digital art when artists like pic related just works with a wacom bamboo and that's all what they really need.

It doesn't matter how fancy or simple a tablet is, they all do the same work and paying a lot for a cintiq is not really worth. But that's just my opinion.
>>

Tbh it looks pretty shit

>It doesn't matter how fancy or simple a tablet is, they all do the same work
Except not

it's all about convenience and saving time

by your logic just use a mouse
it does the exact same fucking thing eh

Sure you can do digital art on a bamboo if you spend a few hours refining it, or you can just do it in a few minutes with cintiq and NOT have carpal tunnel

but that's just like my opinion

I'm going to help you, OP.

Use a razor to widdle the wood away, then use pic related to gently "sand" your charcoal to a point.

I got into a private art school on a full scholarship! As much as I want to hate /ic/ for all the trolls, I was actually able to stay motivated and practice regularly thanks to this board. Here's a work from my entrance portfolio.

Others who have gotten into art school should post here too so those still preparing can see what it takes to get accepted!

I understand just one page out of a sketchbook you sent, but do you have finished pieces you could post? I don't see that being worth a full scholarship desu but its only one sketch.

When I met with a school rep before I submitted my portfolio, they strongly advised against color pencils, anime, fan art, abstract drawings, and drawings from photos.

How come using oil paint is so damn difficult compared to acrylic... I imagine using white spirit is different to linseed oil, etc- but can anyone offer any tips please?

Do any of you livestream your art or time lapse it to YouTube? What kind of tags have you found are effective. I have found it is worth putting other big art YouTube channel names in your tags, just because you then get put in the suggested videos of their viewers.

Anyways, enjoy this absolute shitpost of a creature I created last night in a livestream :)

Interesting, thank you for the knowledge. Do you know if thickening the paint will help it to dry quicker too? Using no oil (just straight paint) so far has meant my paintings are seemingly never going to dry (it's been over a year for one of them and it's still as wet as the day I did it!) :D

Huh, that is strange... It may be a quirk which comes from using Daler-Rowney paints? Oil paint should dry within 3-7 days at maximum.

Thickening the paint with oil will make the drying process longer. Thinning paint with the use of mineral spirits or turpentine will dry your picture sooner, but you don't want to use too much of it.
>>
>>3062598
That's a really pretty image, very vibrant colours!
I may use a different brand next time, if that's the case. Mostly I've been experimenting with how much white spirit to use- using very little and lots of paint seems to make for more vibrant painting but takes forever to dry. I went overboard with it last night so hopefully this one may dry faster :) Thank you!
