>when you stopped drawing months ago but still tell all your family and friends you are really into it
Damn is there a worse feel than quitting a hobby you you were extremely passionate about for 1 month and having to tell everyone you love you gave up on another thing?
>for 1 month
Just tell them you fucking stopped.
>>2314817
Just don't give up
Get back into it
>>2314817
extreme passion lasts longer than a month kiddo.
Study this, faggots.

Man that nipple looks gross to me. It's so open, wtf. Surprising though, it's in that spot I always hate seeing it drawn on anime girls and shit.
>>2292117
I didn't even notice that.
It is kinda weird actually.
>>2292117
Try being less of a virgin/rampant homosexual next time.
Be as harsh as you like. These are all from an art class I did at college, art isn't my major but I do think its a skill I'd like to refine. Also, while I think I have a solid grasp of how to draw with traditional media, digital eludes me completely. I own a tablet but I feel like everything I draw with it, despite hours of work ends up looking sub-par
Hey Guy I just threw together some outfits for this character I'm making. Which one do you think works. Please under stand these are not final.
>>2319049
That body shape is fucking horrendous.
have you even seen a woman before
Just threw it together, scanned and filled. Not trying to impress just trying to get an idea of the look of the outfit.
Who is doing art livestreams on picarto or twitch?
What do you do to attract new viewers?
Do you have some tips for successful streaming to share?
>>2319772
>Do you have some tips for successful streaming to share?
yeah, build a fanbase first so you have some actual viewers
>>2319772
One time I was watching a stream on picarto. it was a futa MLP character, I'm not a fan of pony shit but thats not what got me to watch it. What got me was they were playing the lion king in fucking the corner of the stream. It was the most bizarre thing. People weren't even talking about art, or MLP, they were talking about the movie and singing along to hakunamattata. I didn't think you could legally do shit like that in a stream either, especially one gather about 1k viewers late at night, so who knows how many earlier on in the day. So I stayed and watched lion king in the corner of the screen while some person I didn't know drew pony futa
so heres a tip; if your out for viewers, stream Disney movies. it worked for this person

Porn.
Cant decide on what to put in mid & foreground. Trying to go for autumn theme with trees & hills. Any ideas?
>>2319720
if you wanted it to be an autumn theme you probably shouldn't have gone with a thick dark green outline forming what looks like a skinny persons ass. Your clouds dont make sense. Find a picture and take a look at the way clouds really work. nice blanket tho. looks pretty comfy
Nothing, you can tell that this is a lake full of milk.
Trees and hills
They call him “Ice Cube” cause’ his mean mug is sooo cold!
This is great, do you airbrush? Also why toilet seats, is it just a superb surface for the paint?
Well executed, obviously super tacky but fun none the less.
1/10 I could do better with off brand crayola
Is there any way to watch Craig mullin's demo that he did, I think it was at a schoolism thing
Yes.
No.
Maybe.
I can't deny it, it feels really good to show my artwork to other people, but I feel so guilty about enjoying the praise.
Do you show your artwork to others and why?
>>2318995
Not your personal blog.
>>2318995
post your work
It's normal, /ic/ is full of false modesty because people swarm at the slightest sign of an ego, but rest assured /ic/ is home to many egos.
I'm having an issue with my brushes, no matter what the settings are. There's rings appearing as if they are not transitioning smoothly. This makes coloring drawings extremely difficult/annoying.
In the image below I've drawn a line with a soft brush both with my mouse and my tablet. The settings i'm using should be irrelevant as i have not changed them for months now and the issue was not there until yesterday.

Set brush spacing less than 5%
fucking lol, a noob and a retard at its finest.
>>2318713
nice one bro
30 years in the business and nomura still draws sidemouth and stumpy fingers
Do you know any other "famous" artists who just refuse to improve?
>economic brushstrokes
>master at portraits
>kills with a limited pallete
>one day he just decided to just die
>never improved after that
Seriously, fuck this fucktard. So lazy. He thinks being dead is a good enough reason to stop improving. It's been a century since his last painting, and he decided to become a NEET and just sleep in his underground chamber. Fuck this guy.
>directs 9 separate games and a movie in the span of 15 years
"heY, NOMURA, WHY YOU STILL DRAWIN SIDE MOUTHs, DOG WHY YOU REFUSE 2 IMPROVE. fuckin scrub, amirite m8s"
Does Zelda even stand a chance against two Clouds?
How do you sell out so hard it's not even art anymore? I heard a few times in the past you can draw furry porn for forum goers. I'd rather not draw furry porn unless I really really have to, but I'm sure there's a few other kinds of porn that rich shut-ins will pay for.
Have you ever tried yourself?
If this doesn't work well in the first place, do you have any other niche suggestions that I could get into drawing so I can get commissions?
Best niche is being a good artist
>>2318413
Sure let me just tell you my niche suggestions so you can and other people can come in and take my jobs away. Let me also tell you where I found lucky's pot of gold.
How bout you fuck right off? You're most like a shit artist anyway/haven't even gotten past part 1 in the sticky and already thinking about money.
>>2318413
If you start spamming your furry art all over /b/ and /pol/ the offers will comes and before you know it you will have been lead to secret forums of fur faggotry. Just remember that furfaggots don't like fakes so you got to spice up your posting of drawings with stories about how you are a huge furfaggot and be overly sensitive to any critique. A good way to blend in among them will be to see any subject as an opportunity to bring up furfaggotry.
I hope this advice helps you out beating the hard times as a struggling artist. And don't worry. Soon that suffering will be overshadowed by an even greater.
I've been working on my drawing for some 3-4 years, and at the beginning I didn't really have a method and I haven't really been disciplined throughout, and it shows on my work.
So right now I'm back to studying from books and working on my drawing skills, however I'm not having fun drawing anymore. I mean, I know studies aren't supposed to be fun, but when I go and try to draw the things I want to draw, it's more frustrating than anything.
I just don't like what I draw anymore, and it doesn't make me want to draw and I don't know how long it'll be til I draw fun/am complacent with what I produce.
>>2318275
If you look up some great concept artists it sometimes helps, if you don't feel terrible by comparing their work to your current skill. Perhaps you need to build up your imagination from influence, like watching movies, playing vidya, or boredom google image searches helps a lot.
>>2318275
>however I'm not having fun drawing anymore. I mean, I know studies aren't supposed to be fun, but when I go and try to draw the things I want to draw, it's more frustrating than anything.
I'm actually in the same boat, so don't worry about feeling alone.
>thinking you're an artist even though you have no interest in drawing
Just do something else already.
Normally I would post stuff in draw thread, but individual threads seem to be made all the time so whatever, my plan's to post character designs I've done and if anyone gives a shit I'll draw more showing off who they are and what they do.
This is the protagonist of a low-fantasy comic I'm still developing. She's frighteningly strong, knocks fuckers over like bowling pins.
>>2318257
I don't whats up with her torso but it sort of looks like she has three breasts in this pose
>>2318273
Really? Nuts. She's actually missing her right breast because an arrow covered in animal shit grazed her chest a couple years back and caused an infection, so they had to get her hammered to amputate it. My anatomy's shaky, though, so your misunderstanding is my bad.
Here's another character from the same story, this guy being forced by his dad to be a general, to the annoyance of actual military guys. Plus they think he's a total pussy because he's good with a bow but not with a sword. Of course, he'll have many chances to prove himself.
>>2318257
Keep in mind that the difference between using style to compensate for the lack of knowledge of anatomy and then basing a style on a solid understanding of the same makes a big difference for the end result. An easy fix could be to add some well structured background scenes and environments and those are easy to reuse. But of course if your comic offers other things like compelling storytelling or humor then that might not matter.
