What's up /ic/
I'm considering trying tattooing for the first time, I was a decent artist in highschool and i'm looking for some advice from you guys as a beginner.
Thank you
selfbump
cmon guys halp
Do a bunch of amateur self tats on ur own face and then other tattoo artists will think you're loco and youll have street cred and you'll get the job regardless of artistic ability
Anyone here tried selling fan made merchandise? Did you earn a profit? Was it worth it?
I joined this club at my uni which helps sell fan made merchandise. They collect 15% of your revenue.
So exactly how does your club help you sell merchandise?
>>2322722
The club hosts stalls in comic cons and other public locations where the club's members' merchandise will be on sale there.
>>2322725
why not do that once? and after saw how things work, sell them yourself
what do you think -_-
>-_-
I think you try too hard to get yourself a reputation as a shitposter.

Me and my girl has an art show today
Congratulations! Your art looks sick :)
where at?
I'm happy for you man
Keep it up
So for the last few months, I've had an idea to do a more decade-accurate version of the pic here.
For those who don't know, it's a poster of a character from MGSV: The Phantom Pain. It takes place in 1984.
While the illustration itself is great, I wanted to do a remake that actually looks as though it's from the '80s.
I wanted to see if anyone on here has suggestions on any 80s manga artist to keep in mind while remaking this.
>>2320167
You're sounding like a major idea guy here.
>>2320170
Eh, it's more like I just wanna try something for fun and practice.
Not sure what exactly you mean, though. I don't wanna claim I'm some hotshot.
>>2320170
How is he an idea guy if he actually plans to do it? Idea guys just say, "Hey, I have this idea. Anyone want to make it?". If he's planning to actually go through with it, no matter how shitty the image may look at the end. I can't call him an idea guy
A skull cast out of bismuth what do you all think?

Let's study the most neglected part of the body. Feet. Please use this thread to contribute your drawings/studies/tutorials related to the feet. Remember that the feet can be very expressive, so don't ignore them. I know they can be hard, but just give it your best shot.
>neglected
for you.
>>2323270
Show me what you've got, anon. I'd like to see your feet please.
>>2323275
It's not my image, friend. Sorry.
It's shilling season, /ic/.
> new season premieres
> new vidya
> new waifus
> new fanart communities
> more page views and possible commissions
What are you looking to capitalize on in 2016?
Steven Universe is coming back so I need a few weeks worth of drawings to cash in by the time Stevenbomb rolls around.
fuck off nigger
>>2320739
Isn't Steven universe that stupid cartoon that Tumblr SJWs are obsessed with?
>>2321260
why did I laugh more than I should at this
why is the 1st post always funny
Greetings s/ic/kos,
I come seeking help from anyone with expertise in graffiti culture. I'm doing realty in East Atlanta and am trying to stay on good terms with the local writer talent. Can anyone translate the names written here so I can give respects? I have 2 pictures and some random artwork for your troubles.
Also, any advice on how to show writers courtesy to avoid their wrath?

It's that time of year, /ic/. Here's to another year of grinding muh fundamentals.
>>2323595
Does anyone else look back on 2015 and not feel like your life or art progressed at all?
>>2323596
Post your work from the begging of the year to your most recent
>>2323596
what are your artistic goals, friend?
Hey guys i need help deciding on what i should design on the bottom of my homemade cruiser board. Any ideas?

>snap city
Lmao basically

Anyway, paint it with silver paint, let it dry, then apply painter's tape to paint a diagonal stripe across the middle. That stripe should be international orange, or teal. Apply a layer of epoxy, then wetsand with the finest grit sandpaper you can find (or buff) and basically that thing should be a mirror.
how can i draw better? i read the sticky and looknig at somebody elses drawing and them explaining the human body isn't working
please be kind, i just watn to produce work like pic related
Take online classes and go to life drawing at a commute college. Ignore any advice in the sticky.
>>2323001
Just draw more and analyze all your work, that's the most important part, but just at the start you want to get a bunch of mileage, so just keep drawing!
>>2323001
are you one of these people who thinks he is going to get better over like, a month? it takes years for you to get comfy enough to move forward so man the fuck up.
Is Sketchbook a good program to use with a Wacom Intuos?
I also have Corel Painter Essentials 5 but that's really laggy to use (idk why).
>>2320736
not about the software you use but your graphics card/ram maybe.
but sketchbook is pretty light on resources I guess so go ahead and give it a try. (my laptop does the same everytime I try to use photoshop cs6 while playing videos on the second screen)
>>2320736
SAI is also lightweight, so might want to check that out too (it's pretty cheap if you want to buy it too).
I have an intuos pro and I am intensley happy with sketchbook pro. It's smooth, simple, and easy to work with when it comes to illustrating.
How do I stop feeling depressed about my art?
Right now I feel helpless and unable to improve compared to my peers.
What the fuck do I do /ic/? I feel like I could be permanently depressed because of this.
Just keep drawing fäm
depression is your friend if you're an artist.
>>2320161
>in a circle of artists friends who all have studio jobs at well known companies and great skill
The insecurities are crippling me senpai.
Their art from 5 years ago is leagues better than mine is right now.
I'm 19 but I feel like I draw like a 14-year-old. Here is a drawing I did of APH Switzerland (>inb4 Hetalia is for teens/nobody watches Hetalia anymore). I feel like his arms look unnatural. How can I improve my drawing?
By reading the sticky, practicing fundamentals and time.
You should learn proportions, figure, anatomy, folds/wrinkes/clothing, perspective and lighting, it's a long way to learn all these things, requires time, passion and so on.
