Any anons here that either does commissions or art for practice?
>>2326782
>commissions
>for practice
Commissions are done for money, not for practice.
If you want to get something drawn for free, then fuck off, it's against rules.
>>2326788
I guess i must have been a bit unclear, what i meant was i either want to order drawings from the anons here or if there happens to be someone who wants to practice but does not know what to draw, but hey kudos for telling me that free art is illegal here now i know more.

What do you want? No promises.
Are there any tricks to getting good with a tablet?
Just got one this morning for Christmas and I've been fidgeting with it for a couple of hours, but I still feel like a kindergarten kid who just picked up crayons for the first time.
>>2326578
Just keep using it. It takes a couple days to a couple weeks to get fully used to the disconnect of your hand and eye with a tablet.
>>2326580
This is 2015, I need instant gratification!
In all seriousness though, are there not conventional exercises or routines that expedite the process, or do I just need to keep trying to draw a basic face for the next two weeks?
>>2326583
Like, this is the best I can do, and I'm embarrassed by it.
anyone here willing to change the dynamic sketching 2 course from cgma for some other course?
>>2326532
you asking to trade it for other tutorials?
lol dynamic sketching sucks

no thanks the values in that picture are garbage
>>2326319
No you first. Draw it yourself and show us what you got. If you are good you might inspire others to want to compare.
anymore like this?
Yeah, Google "Thomas Kinkade." Just terrible, unless you're an old lady.
>>2324467
Garbage
>>2325271
Come on, it's not THAT bad.
Looked up the artist, he does some nice things with the scenery sometimes... but seemingly every single image has a couple shoehorned in. Every single one.

Questions go in the QUESTION THREAD
This is for posting studys & getting critique.
>Thread study: I dont fucking know. More animals?
TRY TO BE MORE ACTIVE AND GIVE PEOPLE SOME FEEDBACK - there are many studies left unreplied, which is bit sad and can be quite demotivating for the people that try their best to improve, but are left directionless.

Linked the wrong thread, whoopsies
here's the old one: >>2320096
any help/comment appreciated
>>2324088
there's a lot going on here! you've got a bunch of gestures of animals and of people, some character illustrations, an eye, some rendering, etc... to post something so scattered like this and then just say "any help appreciated" doesn't seem very practical or efficient! being vague with what you're practicing and what you want critiqued begs for vague responses, like "loomis" or "read the sticky," so make an effort to be specific in the future.
You know how environment pencil sketches for animation (esp Disney) all have similar style, similar level of polish, similar shading technique? Just who are they copying to achieve this? If anyone can point me to a book or specific art instructor name I'd much appreciate it.
>>2323672
>similar style, similar level of polish, similar shading technique
U wot?
Disney alone has had very different styles of backgrounds over the years.
>>2323672
they achieve it by hiring professional artists with academic education in their field. there is quite a few instructors out there who teach that, but none of their names probably won't ring a bell.
real world is real world not internet tutorials.
>>2323672
I've heard Disney artists take a lot from Sargent.
2nd place at state competition. How do?

I recently rewatched Star Wars and saw the same similarities. But I suppose there are only so many different ways to show a parade. Probably coincidence. And if not, who cares.
>>2324807
>Probably coincidence. And if not, who cares
prequelcucks, everyone.
>literally the only similarity is the presence of an arch
Kill yourself, my man
Ive watched through all of the free videos and I quite like them, are the premium vids worth paying for?
>>2324670
They are definitely worth paying for
>Not having pirated all of the premium videos when that russian guy posted the mega link here
Haha I feel sorry for you OP
>>2324684
I saw them, I just don't pirate things that I can easily afford
You guys in to these?
Started about 6 months ago and really got into it.
Here's some work
Why does it feel like Men are generally much more invested in art? Discuss.
Pic unrelated.
Actually, I've noticed a lotta women devote a shitton of time to art. One of my old mentors was female and was very good at art. I think you have this perception because of your individual experiences with female artists.
>>2320685
I think there is a correlation between testosterone and ambition/drive.
men create, conquer, build and destroy. women just shake their tits and get fucked. they have no biological drive beyond that.
>>2320692
female detected. total bullshit
What do you think /ic/ ?
>>2323696
Too bright colors
Not enough saturation
This is a really good painting. Only people who suffer from depression paint like this.... Just end it. I believe in you. Pull the fucking trigger
>>2323696
Take a better picture.
