Whats a good drawing regime?
im thinking of making a weekly schedule in order to improve really fast.
pic related, its a shitty self portrait i did a couple of days ago.
WHENEVER IT FEELS RIGHT
Unless you have time to draw all day every day, just set aside at least 2 - 3 hours a day.
Draw weed erryday. yay.
What do the hardcore artists on /ic/ think of my mixtape cover? its not finished though so don't worry about all that empty space
Just kill me now.

I feel like it would suit the look better if you cropped the faces much tighter/cleaner. The blurry edges are a turn off.
I know the look you are going for is not a fussy one, but regardless I think that would help.
I like it senpai! I'm in the process of making my own mixtape.
This character has no canon hair color so which hair one looks best on her?
>>2361511
Light Brown or Blonde.
What's her personality?
>>2361518
Here the chapter where she's featured.

Low quality but all I could find
>>2361511
Well, I'm sure the artist had a color in mind back in the day. Also, duo is my nigga.
Is anyone else on here unable to visualize in their mind? If you were to close your eyes and picture a red triangle, can you see it? Which of the numbered thumbnails in the attached image best represents what you see? Do you see complete darkness?
If you dont know, this is known as aphantasia. A quick google search will get you more info if you want to look into it.
As someone who wants to work professionally in the art field, the inability to store an "image bank" in my mind of references has been incredibly frustrating. I have been attempting to compensate by focusing on proportion, but is there any other way?
Also, if anyone else does have this, how has it affected your learning progress/career as an artist? Do you find that you have shitty spacial awareness and find it difficult to think 3D while drawing 2D?
I cant see anything with my eyes closed
>>2350182
do you feel like its hindered you in progress/ how do you combat it? Especially in regards to drawing w/o reference
>>2350180
Lol, pretty sure you can't just project images into the black space when your eyes are closed. Perhaps when attempting wake induced lucid dreaming, or while on psychedelics, but that has more to do with being in a credulous state.
I think there's a difference between what you can imagine visually, ie, your 'mind's eye', actually creating visible images. A red triangle is easy to imagine but you can't actually see it. Can you? CAN YOU?
Cause if this is a thing, I've gotten pretty far as a 1/6 on that test.
Still learning to ignore what my brain wants to draw, and copy what I see by breaking it down into basic shapes. Not perfect, but getting better thanks to you all!
This is using the same reference, about a month apart after finally learning what symbol drawing was and practicing every day!
Lets see some progress!
>>2344848
what time on each?
>>2344850
Er, guess I should have included that. Between an hour to two hours on each. Used a drafting pencil on old one, used a 0.3mm mechanical pencil on newer one.
>>2344848
so you're getting closer to a photocopier, congrats!
What kind of canvas do you all prefer to work on? I like using grip tape from time to time, cheap and holds the paint I use pretty well.
I became accostumed to cardboard
I'm going to try kraft paper for big scale (I'm a cheap cunt) and see how it goes, so far it seems you to prime it or it breaks too easily due to humidity (using floor paint), also have to be careful with the wind and surfaces, but it's for street art so I'm not disappointed
how the fuck do I do the light on the back, on the windows?
I'm also not sure about the lamp light in the front.
day version for better viewing

Never use pure white

better?
Did someone have a art exsercises training schedule/program to share?... let me explain...
I have serius procrastination problems but I have noted that if I have a schedule to follow i can push myself a little more.
the fact is that due to my procrastination proble it seems i'm unable to compile one myself...
so can someone share one or have some advice to help me? also anti-procrastination general
If you're not procrastinating by doing art then what's even the point. Art should be partially fun for you, is what I'm saying.
>>2364989
You need a training schedule in the English Language first.
Don't overcomplicate it. Just draw. Put some fucking lines on the fucking paper even if the end product sucks. Then focus on why it sucks and correct it.
If you're too lazy and don't wanna work on your weaknesses, fuck it. Watch some motivational videos and get to it, or draw a self-portrait and title it pussy.jpeg.
but I need motivation, look at the figure and put a song that is in line with the figure.

Alright, mate, I got some shit that you may like if you can tolerate some classical sounds- (It's all pretty epic)

I'm not sure you'll get the same vibes I got, but tell me what you think and maybe I can find some more.
>>2364204
mmm not bad, but I'm looking for something more classic and apocalyptic. thanks anyway!
>>2364218
AH!! Alright yeah I dunno where I'd get that stuff - sorry there!
Are these worthy of a thread?
If only people attached they own work with such map
That's mine
anyone have any tips on writing style?
i went for minimalism and flow
If somebody walked up to me and handed me a note with that handwriting, I would think they were really gay.
>>2363199
>that trip
no, fuck you
>>2363199
work some caligraphy plate, and get a dedicated pen.
I'm trying to select a fighter and a pilot for an animation project I'm doing for school. I'd like to know which of each is the strongest, and which pairing would be the strongest. Design tips welcome.
far left second row looks like an up skirt shot of a robot. I have no further advice.

It is

Drawing gets a lot more fun when you stop being shit. Staying with it for that long though is the hard part
>>2358729
>Drawing gets a lot more fun when you stop being shit. Staying with it for that long though is the hard part
Thanks for that
>>2358729
Did you mean to make a new thread for this?
Its already really fun.
OH BOY OH BOY.
You fucking faggot
Should I continue arting, or be a socially enept hobo for the rest of my life?
>>2348598
>Should I continue arting
did someone give u the impression you shouldn't?
> socially enept hobo for the rest of my life?
art/job, do both?
>>2348598
head is massive because you haven't accounted for the camera distortion, and the outstretched arm makes it obvious the painting is based on some lame selfie.
if it's a self-portrait, why are you using a photograph at all? set up a mirror and paint your face from life.
>>2348605
It was for a class I was in, paintings from a self photo was mandatory.
still trying to wrap my head around rendering/specularity.
been practicing a lot, but It's a bit frustrating.
any criticism would be helpful

Do lots of still life studies, go to a thrift store and get those vintage metal cutlery and crockery stuff with lots of patterns, really get an understanding of how light reflects and casts a shadow on the metal (for this particular subject)
Your stuff is okay, with some refining you'd be getting close to blizzard-tier (which shouldn't be your goal.) but I'm not seeing reflective light.
If you're looking for a book Scott Robertson's How to Render: the fundamentals of light, shadow and reflectivity is a good source.

thanks anon
