what is this? 2005?
>>2376879
Wait, what year is it?
How long does the current challenge last for?
Any recommendations for a good tutorial set on how to draw 3D correctly w/ perspective and all that? Everything of mine turns out symbolly even though I attempt to draw in 3D.
I've got Drawabox.com and I know of Proko (but god his jokes are cringey).
Loomis and Vilppu are meh.
I'm willing to put the time and effort in. But when my attempted 3D art looks symbol-like, it's irritating.
I've got a scanner/drawing tablet so that should be a major help.

>Loomis and Vilppu are meh
lynch your mom for having you, nigger
>>2376830
Loomis is outdated as shit and Vilppu is boring as all fuck. So sue me.

j1st step : draw a box
2nd step: put stuff in a box, be it anatomy or other boxes or spheres or anything you can imagine.
Thats all there is to drawing.
henri matisse, van gogh, and basquiat would have got shitted on by this forum if they were alive today.
>>2376141
P.S. Matisse Van Goh and Basquiat are so much better than you, lol
You'll never be a tenth as good as any one of them

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

The face is okay, the mouth seems a bit twisted but maybe you were going for a smirk, I dunno.
The rest you might wanna redo a bit, the far breast looks like it's merging with her right shoulder, and her left one looks a bit too tense.
First time trying 'clean' linework, gotta tidy up the lower half.
Can we have a "rate my gallery/portfolio" thread?
Criticism based on:
Does the gallery itself look interesting/captivating? Do you want to see more or click away? What turns you off about it, if anything?
What could be improved in showcasing work?
Could be dA, tumblr, personal website, anything.
I guess I'll start.
I made my dA last year but migrated to tumblr recently, looking back on it now there's a lot of ugly white space. I never really saw that before.
posting mine again, as I cleaned it a bit, but it's still a bit random

I'm looking for advice about watercolor. This is my second time using it and I really like it, but I also really like ink. Watercolor paper tends to reject ink and sketch book paper wrinkles with watercolor. Any other things I should try? Also all feedback and/or asshole tearing is welcome.
>>2372327
Looking nice so far, anon.
What watercolor paper do you use?
I often combine watercolour and ink and haven't had problems with it so far.
I know there to be paper for japanese ink painting (sumi-e) wich is supposed to be very absorbent.
>>2372327
>sketch book paper wrinkles with watercolor.
You need to stretch your paper before you use it for watercolour, or it will buckle. Googling "stretching watercolour paper" will give you heaps of different ways to do this.
Other than that, its looking pretty cool.
depends on the ink! sumi-e and india ink I think are popular and waterproof once they are dry. check 'em out
A few months back someone posted a list of fantasy companies to apply to for freelance work. I think it was a word document. It was pretty long, had some art directors on it too I believe.
Does anyone have it on hand? I'd really appreciate it if someone had the file or a link to it. The warosu archive doesn't seem to be alive anymore and I forgot to save it when it was posted.
Pic unrelated.

I'd like this too.
I once saw a similar thing for magazines and such that actually had their requirements for submitted work. Wish it wasn't from the 90s though.

Its absolute shit, throw it into the garbage bin, don't make your own threads, read the sticky, stop thinking about your ex its pathetic, get keys to drawing, do the exercises in the book, post into the beginner thread, git gud.

Can someone help me figure out why this doll http://www.custombobbleservice.com/uploadpic/2016-02/26718-H-1-1.png
does not look like this person http://i.imgur.com/hiiMhqZ.png http://i.imgur.com/hyRDEOq.png http://i.imgur.com/NaRu2UC.jpg
I would appreciate if someone with more knowledge on facial features please chime in and tell me what to let the person know to fix.
thank you!
>>2376675
are you the artist or not?
No I am not. This is a gift for my girlfriend.
>>2376675
The doll's entire skull is too shallow and the jaw is too narrow. This pushes her cheeks and jowls too outward. The lips are too thin and the teeth too large. The eyes are too large and too close together. The nose flare is too tall and isn't shaped correctly. The nasal bridge on the doll comes out too far and is too thick.
I am putting this guy on my body somewhere. Where should it go? (I am thinking wrist.)
