What's the most evil thing you've done as an artist?
I made some depressed anime faggot nuked his tumblr that's it.
>>2386894
Drawing porn of real people. I swore I never would but the temptation is too great.

My friend kinda raped my other friend on a camping trip this one time.
When they came back i heard the story about how it happened on the grape vine.
>I thought it was merely a joke/rumor because he was trying to sleep with her for like a year
I decided to make a funny comic of it and post it on social media.
Turns out how i depicted it (caricatures ect) was pretty smack on.
She later contacted me telling me how much she hated me for making the comic, and my other friend told me to take it down or he would beat the shit out of me.
Mfw 2 birds one stone.
Mfw they were 2 of my best friends.
Shitposted on /ic/.
Pretty benign really, and my shitposting was more "get mad at tripfags" than anything.
I'm not really that vindictive, mostly I'm cool with other artists doing their thing as long as they don't get too up their ass.

Post your current drawing here and give constructive critique to others!
Please make sure your posted image is clear, downsized to around 1000 pixels wide, rotated to the correct orientation, and that any unused space is cropped.
If you want critique on a drawing from the previous thread, you can delete it there and repost in this one.

Thumbnail looked intersting
So i'm confused.
Growing up I was always told that tracing a picture makes you a bad artist.
Yet now some people tell me theres nothing wrong with it and it helps you learn.
Whats the deal?
Is tracing a good learning skill or is it cheap??
>>2390846
No rules just tools
>>2390846
It's alright if you're just starting out, but ditch it ASAP if you feel you're leaning too much on it.
Ok so I have always been an artistic child probably the only one of my siblings who never stopped pursueing art after adolesnce (my brother was an epic redrawer but just gave up before highschool) I hated drawing becuase people would always compliment my weakest shit. I'm a college freshman and have no equitment, shit budget, and limited schedual. I draw on occasion it's fun but definitley not a career for me. Given my skill level (my fundamentals are shit i mostly just rework stuff until it looks ok) should i continue art or not. I am going to post a piece i found on /co/ and am in the process of refining. I have an ipad and a sketchbook express and a old stylus i found so be kind it's harder than it should be.
Pic related the original
Okay now I have to defend this choice, I saw it was so disgusted by it i thought i should fix it becuase i need toright this evil. Hopefully i did do it some justice, yes no? Don't know what i should do with the mouth and or if to slim her down a bit. Also i should add i detist her character. Classic squirrel-girl was funny and cool new one is tumblr shit
>>2390159
Wait, so you're telling me that you just draw on other people work, to make it look better, I mean, how exactly is that drawing. If you decide to do art seriously, how would you get payed to do anything, outside of fixing somebody else's work
Do you have any art done from your imagination?
What does your finished work look like compared to the original?
I just don't understand.
Nigga, if you find enjoyment in it, just do art as a hobby.
What are your goals if you do pursue art?
Hey I was looking for the reference that the guy used for this study. I recall vividly seeing it somewhere but for the life of me I couldn't recall why I didn't save it then and there. I tried reverse image search on the study but no luck.
Does anyone know what the statue is ? Or do they have the photo ?
^
what kind of brush is that?
>>2390166
It's not just one brush
Your inspirations, preferably those, who made a huge progress

Looks great but, the left side of face is a little too dark.
>>2390146

hi to patrick
Anyone else see this movie? I watched it recently because I like Banksy and the latter half of the movie just mad me angry.
Has anyone else had an experience where encouraging someone else to create came and bit you in the ass? Thoughts on this movie, Banksy, or street art in general?
i'm a beginner street artist but i haven't seen it yet. i'm saving it for a better time.
>>2388932
But isnt graffiti illegal?
>>2388955
Yeah that's the point, idiot.
Hello, beginner here when it comes to art and drawing. Got myself a copy of “Drawing for the absolute and utter beginner” by Claire Watson Garcia and a 4th edition “Drawing on the right side” by Betty Edwards. Don’t have the means to take classes but I am dedicated to my craft.
My questions are how often do you practice your art? How long should I practice mine per day? Do you have any helpful tips of a beginner?
By the way just learning about shading values…
>>2388140
>how often do you practice your art?
1~3 hours a day
>How long should I practice mine per day?
The more, the better, you should practice as much as you can. You can't get good training 30min a day
>Do you have any helpful tips of a beginner?
Read the goddamn sticky
Read all the books on sticky, if you can, practice others after (and always take time to draw things you like, otherwise you will probably lose passion exclusively training on those books), while doing so, post your drawings in "Critique" threads, so you don't create one just for your, there you will get proper tips for your actual drawings.
good luck and keep drawing
learn the mannequin, start figure drawing as soon as you can.
Right Side of the Brain and Fun with a Pencil are both very important for starting.
After that go onto the Figure Drawing for All it's Worth
messing around with figure drawing will also give you some basic anatomy to start with. After that it's whatever.
Don't skim through the books, actually read them
Post artwork wallpapers pls
GTFO NEWFAG!!!

I love this post.
Perfectly ironic to the point of being hilarious.
>>2385809
I really enjoy ryoichi ikegamis artwork. I think it is very beautiful.
So what's your thing /ic/?
As for me, I like to draw and design clothes, especially dresses, is that too gay? Hopefully one day I'll be good at it too!
nah
Yes, it's gay.
>>2385330
How old are you?
What age did you decide you wanted to be an artist?
What age did you really start working towards it?
None of this is relevant.
Stop worrying about your age and just draw.
>>2383670
Shut the fuck up.
>>2383670
it's still interesting
22
around 20 or 21
i would say it took me until now to start really focusing on git gud, i had to take a while to lose some ego
What digital art programs do you main people of /ic/?
Question I have
I have CS6 (le pirate meme and the master collection), what is the difference between CS6, CC 2014, and CC 2015? Is there any benefits I'm missing out from the later versions compare to CS6?
No, with C6 you can do everything, photoshop is the industry standard, painter and manga studio and sai are not necessary for anything if you can use photoshop properly.
>>2383519
Oh that's good. Then CC is none of my concern for now then.
Krita a best.
3.0 is coming out next month I think, with a ton of new features, the most prominent being animation tools. And even as it is right now, it's more than competent alternative to ps for painting.

Cool! May I use that as a background for one of my drawings?
Don´t worry I will use a filter so nobody knows its a photo.
For the reason above I won´t be able to credit you as I want the plebs think is a real drawing!
