I'm creating an original tattoo that I will get soon on my arm. The tattoo has two symbolic meanings 1) the day, month, year section you would find on any sort of document or form. 2) my name has a double M, and of my two brothers, their names are spelt one with double D and the other double Y.

I was thinking this would be a simple tattoo, kinda basic with the date area left blank.
I have a few (bad) drafts and would like very much for anyone to cretique my design or share any ideas. I am not much of an artist, this is the best I can come up with.

I'm looking for scientifically accurate (!) references of pre-columbian CIVs (Maya, Inca, Olmecs etc.)

Why do people commit to photorealistic pencil drawings?

Isn't art supposed to be a way to express how you see things in the world? With the skill level these people have they can be making way more interesting things.

In wat kind of Style do you usually like to draw??? I prefer to draw in cartoony style over Anime but lately i've been trying to do more realistic drawings

So I have achieved mild success as a freelance artist. I'm completely self employed basically. No other source of income, and I make enough to put aside a little bit every month.

However for some reason I have insane trouble motivating myself to actually do the work people pay me money for. I bum around still in the neet mindset, do fuck-all every day and just order pizzas and spend my money on stupid shit. I could probably make twice what I make now if I buckled down and had a professional approach on things. Say I tried to consistantly work atleast 8 hours every weekday. Would probably pull in 3-4k a month. Instead I'm satisfied making just a little bit more than I need, lol.

What is going on here? I thought this was my passion. I thought once I start getting paid I would be drawing 18 hours a day every day? Does the amount of work, sweat and tears it takes to 'make it' kill the passion? Does it just take so long that you develop as a person and by the end art is just not that interesting anymore?

Anyone else experienced this?

Guys , after i finish with exams this year , i want to find a somehow good fitness exercise programme to follow because i'm afraid i'm not that healthy but in the same time i want to use all my free time practicing drawing etc.

My question , how did you manage to make time for drawing but also , going to gym and stuff .
