Obviously. I was referring to the stylized, aestheticised nature of his work, which always reminds me of those CorelDraw portraits that used to be popular in the 90s.
Apparently, (You) don't see the similarities.

That's David Ligare, a contemporary neo-classical painter. I like his landscapes and sill life, but his figures tend to have this eerie quality to them. It's like they've been photographed without their souls: very detailed, but frozen. He's very deliberate about lighting, placement, and symmetry, but sometimes it's too much. So yeah robot trying at renaissance painting is a pretty accurate impression.
This is probably my favorite of his
>>2981966
Just to be clear, I'm not knocking the style. He's probably trying to bring to mind the ideal of a classical statue, only colored and in a painting.
Also because he's contemporary, his stuff is really hard to find in hq.
>>2980857
what a painting
>>2956881
Saw this in person. Pictures don't do the texture justice. It's freakin huge too.

1. Download GIMP
2. Use it to open the picture you want to compress
3. File > Export As
4. Reduce quality
If you want to do several at a time, download GIMP's batch plugin. These are great pictures, keep posting senpai.
some really hi res conversion in progress...
every picture will we worth the wait online anon...
this guy ---> https://twitter.com/KIMFOR123/media has some really nice art pictures in his bio. reverse image search in google images using ---> twitter-image-helper addon in firefox will yield excellent results. just choose larger images in search function.
All this extra-high resolution stuff is terrific. Thanks for posting.

>what would protestant art be
is this a joke
>>2982885
Bosch, Brugel, Rembrandt.... Dutch or English art generally. I'd put Rubens over them, but Protestant art has some great scenes, still lifes, and portraits. Very anecdotal, whereas Catholic art is much more iconic.
>Protestant art is Marvel, Catholic art is D.C.
