It's a trick question philosophically, but a no-brainer legally. Depending on what system of ethics you're partial to, it could go either way.

A utilitarian would argue that if stealing a bad person's wallet brought about the greatest good for the greatest number of people than it is acceptable. Since the result isn't particularly optmific it may still be wrong.

On the other hand, someone like Kant might reason through universalization that if anyone could steal the wallet of a historical figure we find morally repugnant than such a world would undermine our goal of harming Hitler. Also consider the inverse, I might like Hitler and decide to give him money.

A human rights theorist would most definitely say it's wrong since although Hitler is undeniably evil we have a moral responsibility to respect his natural right to property.

The easiest way to justify this is to go with a radical feminist approach. Hitler is male, he is privileged cis-gendered shitlord, ergo it's perfectly acceptable to cut off his penis than take his money.

Not sure if you understand this, but the axis was kind of more "diverse" than the allies. Hitler preached homogeneity and improving your race, and a number of ethnicities/nations can get behind that.
