I'd at least like to discuss the fall of socialism
thank you very much

I still don't get this.

personally i'd love it to be 1900 as the cutoff, though i think it should be 1900+ topics are moderated so we don't end up with 500 WW2, hitler, jews threads
>>4482
The cut off is 95, already been decided.

I think 1945 is a decent enough cutoff. You just know the three biggest shitstorms are gonna be centered around the cold war, WW2, and Israel/Palestine. WW2 is too big to be left out, but the other two don't really feel "historic" enough in the first place.

In the grim darkness of Sosach, a slav posted a shot of his cat in front of the Blinis (think of slavic pancakes that aren't sweetened) in which it looks as if it were drooling over the delicious food.
It became an exploitable on Sosach, then on various smaller boards such as Ylilautaa, KC and finally ended up on 4chan via /int/.
I hope you tune in again for the next episode of meme history with Franz-Josef Strauß.

I'm not in favor of a cutoff, but whatever floats your boat I guess
Enough kotblini shitposting.
9/11 is a turning point big enough. It is one of these events to which everything converges, with it spawning all major events coming after it.
Until we have another event that may be referred to as a turning point like 9/11 in retrospect I'd place the cutoff in 2001.
2005 is the cutoff. A lot of stuff has happened during 1990 - 2005 that should be discussed too
NO CUT

I'd be cool to talk about internet history.
25 years ago is the right cut-off. The fall of the Berlin Wall and the collapse of the Soviet Union and Iron Curtain is a clear moment which defines the birth of the modern world.

>the birth of the modern world
contemporary* world.
Don't confuse the two. The modern world was born in WW1.
Why the fuck would you need a cutoff?
