This followed by lots of executions of commies.

.... and this ebin gem of gorilla warfare from Finnish War that doesn't even have translation in wikipedia.

https://fi.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rothin_ja_Spoofin_sissiretki

TL;DR Russians reported that they had repelled a frontal assault a army corps commanded by general Roth and a fleet commanded by admiral Spoof.

What actually happened? Sergeant major Roth and corporal Spoof led 41 men to raid Russian supply columns and couple depots in Russian rear, that lasted for three weeks. Once they ran into Russian regiment with artillery they came up with conclusion to get somewhere else. Russians were able to get names of commanders from locals as said commanders were locals. Carl Johan Spoof caught mild case of pestilence and died few months after raid, Jakob Johan Roth got promoted to lieutenant and lived happily ever after.

Russian honesty/10

A failed siege in 1442 from a war between local Celje Dukes and Habsburgs, so irrelevant there's not even an english article about it.

Also, technically, there was a skirmish here during the independence war in 91, when a helicopter was shot down by an rpg. The whole thing was moronic, since the pilot flying the Yugoslav army helicopter was a slovene collaborator but decided he'd be more useful to the effort by not defecting and staying infiltrated.

There's also a small monument at a roundabout near where I live that honours the memory of the particular Canadian battalion or company that liberated this part of the city. The Canucks were the ones who liberated the city from the Nazi's towards the end of the War, so we like them here.
