What happened to Wolfshiem's Catholic Thread? He hasn't had one in weeks. Although I don't have the material to dump that Wolfshiem had, I guess we might as well have a Catholic Thread.

You know, there's a part of me that hopes he got banned (not out of anything anti-Christian or anti-catholic, just anti-tripfag), but we now have that Constantine dweeb instead, and it's been a very bad trade.

>>304963
I think they both got banned. I've seen neither of them.

I remember Constantine said he was taking a break from 4chan for whatever orthodox fast is going on right now.
>talking about tripfags
Time to end it.

Isn't he the guy who went on a pro-refugee and pro-Islam tirade?
>>
>>305034
I doubt it. He's quite a strong Orthodox Christian.

There are really less than a handful of knowledgeable religious posters. Accordingly when those few posters don't make threads there isnt really any possibility for discussion as most of the other religious folk dont really care for apologetics or theology and would rather just share art or music or
circlejerk
Its kind of sad but without Constantine and Wolfsheim the two primary religious generals would die out pretty quickly.

Anyone here up for liturgiology/history/etc?
Judith Herrin makes a good case that the Three Chapters affair and its aftermath did a lot to estrange the Latin West from the East. She traces first the Iberian Christian reaction to the Constantinople II (they never recognized it as ecumenical until Ultramontane hierarchs were imposed on them during the Reconquista), with St. Isidore of Seville repudiating the "symphonia" model of Church-State relations (particularly beloved by the Orthodox) and his alternative model eventually achieving dominance in the West from the Carolignian Renaissance to the Gregorian Reforms.

I enjoy those topics, however I lack the knowledge to make proper conversation in my own right on them

If I can recommend some books:
Judith Herrin's "The Formation of Christendom" provides a good coverage of Mediterranean Christianity (West and East) from Late Antiquity up to Nicaea II and the Synod of Frankfurt.
On liturgy, any publication by Archimandrite Taft is good, his views regarding the TLM notwithstanding. Same with those of Gabrielle Winkler, Paul Bradshaw and Peter Jeffery among others. Of course, Baumstark's works are fundamental (his formulation of Two Laws of Liturgy in particular)

I can recommend some other books, but they are more topical (specifically Visigothic Spain and Roman North Africa).
