So, exactly how far back are we going?
>>20952
DINOSAUR GENERAL
Beginning of universe, as has already been discussed in great length in the religion threads

Cavemen are history.
>>21079
>preferring marble over bc

It's on topic faggot
We are going back into some sort of capitalism approvedmedieval ages. TPP proves that
>>21276
hah
>>21276
It's funny because there is theories that all the dinosaurs were feathered. So that would make birds "descendants"
OOGA BOOGA ROCKSTOP
>>20952
Considering the board covers anthropology, that would be all hominids. So back to the first biped apes.
We know chimps in the wild make simple tools and gorillas in captivity can handle linguistic communication (sign language), so we had those in our toolbox when we changed our spinal curvature.

>>20952
We're allowed to go all the way back to the start of Genesis, when our father who art in heaven said "Let there be light!"

We'll start at organisms forming around hydrothermal vents and practicing chemosynthesis and go from there.
I love sucking on minerals holy shit.

I fucking love pre-history except there's no history known
think about all those ooga booga tribes travelling all over the world and discovering places, would have been awesome to have the very first log of adventures desu
>>21222
That's dumb. We know a lot about various peoples/civilizations that didn't have writing.
>>20952
Until the first written source, otherwise it would be prehistory
>>23918
>There is literally no difference between homo sapiens and neanderthal
Keep thinking that you dumb monkey
>>24045
Neanderthals made cave art
>>24008
no we don't
>>24045
If it's assuming and factually baseless, wouldn't it be herstory?

Still cave art though
>>24129
Hieroglyphs are a writing system
>>24129
heiroglyphs are writing you fucking prole
>>24129
hieroglyphics are writing
they are not just some simplistic series of 1 to 1 corresponding pictures meaning "bird sun water" (logo/ideogram) but they are also an actual system of reporting discrete, lower level linguistic concepts (phonogram)

>>24319
Humans are smarter and have better tools. Also they probably taste good.
>>24319
HOMO SAPIENS NEED OUR HELP. THEY ARE NICE PEOPLE IT WILL BE OKAY WE WILL LIVE TOGETHER.
>>24385
Except we weren't demonstrably smarter nor had superior tools at the time.
One of the most convincing arguments is observations of the origins of neanderthal tools. Tl;dr, it implies that they were highly self-reliant in that all tools/trinkits found by their bodies originated from the immediate area, whereas the spread of artifacts from contemporary Sapiensnigs was far more 'diverse.'
