Post your favorite battle
Battle of France, the elusive dram of a six week campaign against a great power became a reality for the only time in the 20th century.
Let the British butthurt commence

I wouldn't say best, but I'd say more iconic.
>>18692
Damn that's catchy.
>>18710
I mean, it's not as large scale of a battle as some of the biggest battles, but the fighting itself is pretty interesting and the fact it set up the ability to start bombing the main islands plus the iconic photo just kind of push it over the edge for me.

Horton is one of my all time favorites.
My BEYOND favorite is this.

Can't help but smile and dance along with it, such a happy tune.
He does a number of historically relevant tunes as well.
The great emu war.

>it set up the ability to start bombing the main islands
That was the Marianas, taken in mid 1944.

What tanks was Saddam using?

T-72
In history? I'm hesitant to say it's my favorite but the one I keep coming back to is the Battle of Stalingrad. As for modern? The Battle of Donetsk Airport.
>>18977
A mish-mash of tanks, most notably the T-72 Lion of Babylon.

For general bombing runs, but not really as strategic since the B29s were just barely in range to reach Japan and make it back safely

The battle for /his/
>General threads to avoid clutter
>/his/ RELATED TOPIC
We seem to have some very same-y threads cluttering up the board.
Can we eventually wrangle people into some serious discussions in a /WWIIG/ World War Two General, for one?
Do we really need independent threads for "Who REALLY started the war" or "How many Jews died in WWII?" Wrap it up in one thread
Rorke's Drift.

The First battle or the Second?

Probably a three way tie between Leipzig(1813), Waterloo or Zama.
Pic related has brought me many a laugh though
>>19092
It's barely existed for a day. It'll work out the kinks, but for now it's got growing pains

Peleliu, it's Peleliu.

Lumping the T-72s that Iraq had in with the rest of them is really unfair. Seriously, the piles of shit they got and built were nowhere near as good as the actual T-72, and that's coming from someone who thinks the T-72 is shit.

Zama or Alesia.
Especially Alesia.
>>19299
The Soviets obviously made crappier version of their tanks for export. I doubt they were in that good of condition by that time either.
>>19744
That's what I'm saying. The thing is though, that the Lion of Babylon T-72s were produced new by Iraq, so they were even shittier than export T-72s.
Battle of Britain.

>people are so habituated to having generals suffocate boards they can't find themselves when they go away
