So earlier today I was told by some african american woman that:
>The moors were ancient group of africans who moved to america and were black then became the native americans, and the only reason modern natives look lighter is because of the white man, and everything I say is part of the european hoax and DNA is also a hoax.
How do I deal with such people /his/
How do I deal with people who deny all forms of history?

A lot of early western medieval history is people playing catch up to what was lost from the classical period. This can be seen in the degradation of Latin and Art.

Just got finished watching it the other day. Pure kino. It's accurate in that it has the main bullet points correct and details are rarely ever so incorrect as to be offensive. Certain events are portrayed different from how it's historically understood for dramatic effect and narrative focus, but the changes are true to the spirit of how events actually unfolded.

The only thing is the two main characters and everything about them is fictitious, but works as a framing device for real historical events and historical figure characterization.

The Senate form of government and the professional army. The first step was taking out all rivals like the Carthage and gaining control of the Mediterranean. But really when you look at how the Roman army evolved and adapted to each new era it's easy to see how they stomped everyone
>>
>>2860811
At first, the Romans gained an edge over their Italian neighbors with certain military innovations.

They adapted the phalanx formation to what was called the maniple formation. Basically, the maniple formation is just a bunch of smaller phalanxes arranged in a checkerboard pattern. There would be three lines, plus a solid line of skirmishers (Velites) in front. Fresh troops in the rear would periodically switch with the troops in the front. Experienced troops were in the back to prevent recruits in the front from retreating. In addition to keeping the fresh troops on the front lines, the maniple was much more adaptable to the terrain.

These advantages allowed them to vassalize other Italian cities which gave them the resources to be a major player in the Mediterranean. Once the defeated Carthage and conquered Greece, they were the ONLY player in the Mediterranean. The rest was all downhill from there

This is why I truly believe WWI was one of the worst events in human history. In just four short years warfare (the warfare practiced since the dawn of the human race) lost all of the honor and glory associated with it. You were no longer/could no longer become a hero, you just had to sit in that trench and pray your death comes quicker and more painless than the guy sitting next to you in the exact same predicament.

This was never debunked. Egyptians in North Egypt were a Mediterranean people who ranged from brown to being as fair as Greeks or Italians(i'm not saying they were blondes but light enough to be considered White by certain opinions.) They were also a Caucasoid and Hamitic people. What was debunked is that Black people were kangz. They weren't. The Sub-Saharans were not the progenitors of Egyptian Civilization.

Is there any scholar who has published a literal or secular interpretation of the old testament?

I can't find a modern translation that doesn't base it's translation on more modern Greco Roman traditions like monotheism, omnipresence, heaven and hell, and the story of human redemption through Jesus.

I think even from a casual reading of the King James Bible it's obvious these themes are shoehorned in after the fact.

the NASB is a pretty good secular translation, IMO. Not sure exactly what you mean by literal though.

Also, don't forget, the OT as we know it was likely composed of books written through the 7th-5th centuries B.C., and compiled together towards the end of that period, with occasional additions. By the time of that compiling, Jews were pretty hardcore henotheist and tending towards "modern" monotheism. If you want a literal, pure to the text rendition, you're going to get monotheism in there; the polytheist stuff is mostly archeological and reading stuff into passages from word choice and inconsistent ways which God acts implying they were originally multiple gods doing different things. You won't find it in a literal text.

The oldest Hebrew texts are from the 9th and 10th centuries AD and differ in some places from Greek, Latin, and Samaritan readings which might indicate that those represent older variant readings. But with all translations the potential for error is still present.

Admittedly, most of my knowledge in Nip history comes from games. Many games (and other Japanese media) meme to people that this guy, Nobunaga Oda, is the first unifier of Warring-States Japan.

But a cursory reading of Nip history shows this was not the case. In fact: he just had the center of Japan during the height of his power. Far Northwest, the Date and Uesugi were p. powerful, and the Hojo as well. Southwest, you have the Chosokabe, the Mori, and the the whole island of Kyushu is the private kingdom of the Shimazu.

So why is the meme bad-guy man of Japanese history the "first unifier?"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huey_Long

Pic related is Huey Long, one of the few prominent Southern politicians not to bend over backwards to screw workers, the poor, and the middle class over. He encouraged infrastructure spending in rural areas, pensions, and funding for education, along with low cost healthcare. What happened to men like him? Why are there no more Southern progressives who at least pretend to give a shit about the problems of the poor and middle class-race aside?

>>
Huey Long was a bombastic populist who ran a self-serving political machine in one of the most irrelevant backwater states in the entire US. Not exactly a model for progressivism
>>
>>2866796

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Share_Our_Wealth

Example of one of Long's policies:

1. No person would be allowed to accumulate a personal net worth of more than 300 times the average family fortune, which would limit personal assets to between $5 million and $8 million. A graduated capital levy tax would be assessed on all persons with a net worth exceeding $1 million.

2.Annual incomes would be limited to $1 million and inheritances would be capped at $5.1 million.

3. very family was to be furnished with a homestead allowance of not less than one-third the average family wealth of the country. Every family was to be guaranteed an annual family income of at least $2,000 to $2,500, or not less than one-third of the average annual family income in the United States. Yearly income, however, cannot exceed more than 300 times the size of the average family income.

4.An old-age pension would be made available for all persons over 60.

5.To balance agricultural production, the government would preserve/store surplus goods, abolishing the practice of destroying surplus food and other necessities due to lack of purchasing power.

6. Veterans would be paid what they were owed (a pension and healthcare benefits).

7. Free education and training for all students to have equal opportunities in all schools, colleges, universities, and other institutions for training in the professions and vocations of life.

8. The raising of revenue and taxes for the support of this program was to come from the reduction of swollen fortunes from the top, as well as for the support of public works to give employment whenever there may be any slackening necessary in private enterprise.
