The Freemasons were basically just a social club that encouraged free thinking and Enlightenment ideals, which meant it was a place (kind of the only one at the time) that would have encouraged the kind of thinking that led to the revolution in the first place. The founding fathers were a bunch of rich, educated men who loved the Enlightenment, and Freemasonry was their secret clubhouse. Of course there was an overrepresentation, it's where they all got the idea from.

I meant to include all slavs and all orthodox nations. I know they aren't synonymous. Also the Baltics and Hungary are neither orthodox nor slavic but are oftentimes considered Eastern Europe.

you can't be a christian only on Jesus's teaching anon. Jesus is supposed to be a figure prophecied in the OT and the gospels are filled with supposedly fulfilled OT prophecies. Jesus even meets several OT figures and claims that Abraham knew about him. Jesus believed that Moses wrote the Torah and if you accept the views of biblical scholars that he didn't, this view by Jesus comes into conflict with the idea that he as God was omniscient
