They even manage to make a 13 year old girl "forced to wear"(I mean how dreadful am I right?) lots of expensive and beautiful jewelry look like a burden for her. A 13 year old girl!
I'm not saying the lives of Roman women were always great compared to men. For one thing, there were certainly many double standards and limits on female conduct in public. Considering, however, they were socialized to marriage, children, luxury and beauty above anything else was desirable (it is "feminine"), I can't see how unhappy they could be over such things presented in this video.
Minus the gladiator thing. Was that true btw? I learned in a class once that women had to sit all the way in the back at the Colosseum. This wasn't the case for the horse races though. Was it only noble women or all women?

Why do Catholics so frequently depict Mary without Christ? We Orthodox only do that depictions of the Annunciation. Also, Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant and the Throne of God, which is why we often depict Christ on her lap; but in the Guadalupe work, Christ is confined to and Mary is rather using him as a throne. Why? And isn't it heretical to call Mary "co-redemptrix"? True, she gave birth to Christ, but while the birth makes redemption possible, Christ's births part of the redemptive act, which is the Crucifixion-Resurrection, and Mary did participate in that.

Catholic art does not follow the rules of Iconography. So there is no rule spoken or unspoken that she has to be put next to Christ.
The co-redemptrix thing is controversial. The advocates of it do not mean to imply she is equal to Christ but that she played a role in Christs redemption of man. I think the last pope didn't like the term and called it misleading.
Now if you're asking if many Catholics go beyond the traditional limits on saints and in practice worship Mary I would say yes. Though Catholic doctrine would consider doing such heretical

B is clearly still the odd one, but one has to account for what makes the unique visual property of B different from, say, the unique visual property of C (i.e. being pink), and logically justify making a distinction between the (supposedly) different kinds of visual properties.
The best I was able to do is this: the unique property of B is the property of sharing every other property (except for itself) with at least one shape in the set, making B the only object with a self-referential unique property. Is this reasoning correct? What does philosophy have to say about different kinds of properties?

As far as I think I know atheism is just as ignorant. Nothing suggests that some kind of deity does not exist/ does exist, yet atheists much like the religion they oh-so despise act or even claim that they know the definite truth. Most of the atheists I know cant even really formulate why they believe the abscence of a god is the case and only follow atheism because others have before them. Was the destruction of gender roles inevitable in the West, or was it a directed effort? Up until the 60s most women were taught to be housewives, and then it seems like society just decided to throw them into the work force. Even then a good deal of women preferred not to work but once a critical mass was achieved it was impossible to resist.
I just want a nice girl with a liberal arts education to keep house and be my companion, but they all fell for the career meme.

If you were a middle class man in the 19th century you got a woman who was raised to be obedient to her husband and understood her place was in the home. They didn't get offended if you wanted to take care of them.
