Remember that the SA members primarily came from poor working class houses. They were angry anti-semitic nationalists who hated communists BUT they were also angry working class socialists who hated capitalists. To them, capitalism was inherently Jewish.
Hitler primarily rode to power on the wings of middle class and industrialists like Krupp and Thyssen. They invested heavily in him. When he finally took power there was no place for Rohm and the SA.

I'm currently reading Wittgenstein's tractatus and I don't understand what certain signs in combination with other signs mean.
Can someone explain 5.5321 to me.
"Thus, for example, instead of ‘(x): f x⊃ x = a’ we write ‘(∃x). f x .⊃. fa : ∼(∃x, y).f x . f y’."
Specifically what does the colon signify? I've seen it before in the tractatus but only in passages where understanding its meaning didn't seem that important to me so I thought it would suffice to look it up after I'm done with the book.

Socialism is an unfair, exclusionary and paradoxical concept. Giving to the homeless is racist. Prove me wrong.
If we divided all the wealth in the world equally it works out at roughly $50k net worth per person
If we divide global gdp equally it's roughly $15k per person per year
I think we can all agree this is not enough to live a comfortable "middle class" lifestyle. Nobody in their right mind would advocate living that way. Therefor there has to be some inequality.
So why help anyone in the West at all? A homeless person in the US is objectively better off than a slum child in Kolkata, so why would you give your change to the homeless and not the child? Just because he is closer to you? I think most of us can agree national borders are arbitrary and ultimately meaningless and not enough justification to help one person over another. So giving to the homeless guy on your block is discrimination against indian and african kids, plain and simple.
Trying to bring about more income equality within Western countries while keeping developing countries poor is sheer entitlement and hypocrisy.

How did a country like Pakistan develop its nuclear weapons?
How did these goatshaggers do it? I've read that the US basically gave them nukes under the Atoms for Peace program, but what I really want to know is if they could have developed into the power they are without US interference

USA was against them having it iirc. To give credit where it's due they built a lot of them by themselves by piecing together a lot of documents. They got funding from Saudi Arabia and China to build it.
