Not only in France. But yes due to the geographic position of France its resistance groups had to play a significant role. They fucked up a lot of shits.

>Keeps America out of war his entire first term
>Wants nothing more than to act as mediator >Advocates "Peace Without Victory"
>After Britain cuts Germany's only cable to the US, Wilson makes sure to provide Germany with another line of communication just in case they want talk about negotiations.

>During March 15, the Lusitania is torpedoed
>Instead of war, Wilson negotiates with the German government, resulting in the end of unrestricted submarine warfare

>On February 1, 1917, Germany announces that they will resume in unrestricted U-boat Warfare
>Wilson asks his cabinet if they want to declare war.
>The cabinet in unanimously in favor of war
>Wilson STILL doesn't declare war, instead he tentatively asks congress for permission to arm American merchant vessels as a purely defensive measure

>Zimmerman telegram is released
>Wilson STILL does not declare war, he thinks it might be a British trick
>Only after Zimmerman publicly admits that the telegram is genuine does he start to seriously consider declaring war

>Wilson goes into seclusion, clearly very troubled
>Eventually he emerges from hiding, and again he asks the Cabinet what they think he should do.
>The entire cabinet says to declare war
>Wilson finally agrees and asks Congress to declare war on Germany
>After Wilson signs the bill to declare war on Germany, he starts sobbing uncontrollably, he doesn't recover for days

>Fast forward to the end of the war
>Wilson consistently argues that defeated nations should be treated with respect
>It is Wilson's 14 points that finally get Germany to agree to surrender, ending the Great War
>Britain ignores the 14 points in post-war negotiations, leaving Germany feeling tricked and betrayed, sowing the seeds of WW2

[fast forward 100 years]

>People think that Wilson was some sort of depraved warmonger, when in fact he was easily the most enlightened and conscientious leader of the decade

people dislike him for the opposite reason, he was overly naive and his league of nations and failure to reduce harsh terms on germany since he was a pushover are good examples of his failure and why the people who dislike him do.

>expecting the eternal anglo to be lenient on their enemies

How historically accurate is this film?

I didn't watch the whole movie, only the beginning and I remember an officer talking to the King very directly and contradicting him and that seemed unrealistic, as if it were something that a subject would normally be punished for or at least have the King berate him for it.

Damn can you imagine being a Chinese Super Emperor? You'd have absolute power over the lives of millions. You could build a harem large enough that you'd never have to fuck the same woman twice.

One /his/torical person of you choice will be allowed to live a little longer.

The person of your choice will have been saved from their death and will live a minimum of another ten years.

Who do you choose?

Two fags saw weakness in the Roman empire during the crisis of the third century. Unfortunately for them they weren't as weak as they had assumed.
It was less autism, and more so hunger for power.

"The fall of the Ottomans" by Eugene Rogan deals with the Ottomans from about 1870 until its dissolution, with the heaviest focus being on the lead to WW1, WW1, the Armenian Genocide and the fall of the 3 Pashas and rise of Ataturk, I just finished it and it was pretty solid
