Why do people continue to contend that communism has never been tried before in debates around the practicality of the ideology? Surely ubiquitous and expedient backwards slides into petty despotism is evidence enough of the instability inherent in handing power over so much to so few.

Perhaps it'd be more appropriate to say that communism has never been accomplished before? This I fear will be seen by Marxian intellectuals as the praise of what could be, rather than the admonishment of what couldn't be that it is.

Communism has never been tried because it's IMPOSSIBLE to try that

Unless we'll have some kind of apocalypse which will destroy all civilizations, ideologies and doctrines except the communist one.

What led to the Korean War? What was the unified Korean peninsula like before it?

What attempts have the countries made towards reunification?
39 posts and 3 images submitted.

it was taken over by japan in the early 20th centuary before that it was sort of isolationsit.
the war started when the communist north wanted to reunite the country which have ruined attempts at unification indefinably until something major changes in the political climate
>>
>>486713
>What led to the Korean War?
US incompetence.

The southern section of the korean party over selling it's organisational levels (We'll have taken Seoul before the tanks reach it).

>What was the unified Korean peninsula like before it?
Heavily industrialised in the North (to japanese levels). A japanese wage slave labour camp.

>What attempts have the countries made towards reunification?
Well the DRVN attempted to reunify Korea in a quite remarkable way in the late 40s.
>>
>>487080
I thought the south, not the north was both more industrialized and populated.

I know a little bit about this but not much.

i know the introduction of firearms was instrumental to the shift in power between the Muscovites and the nomadic horse archers who previously predominated. After muskets came along suddenly the nomads couldn't just pepper their enemy with arrows from a safe distance, which was basically the only arrow in their quiver, so to speak. The Muscovites used standing wooden shields that they'd shelter behind. They also used their wagons if they were travelling in a convoy, circling them and firing from behind them. Essentially tactics like would be seen a few centuries later in the American west, or with the Boers in Africa.

I'm only talking here about the very earliest phase of expansion, though, when Muscovy first started pushing back the horse nomads in the 16th century. Beyond that I really don't know much. But if I had to extrapolate I'd say it was very similar to the American expansion westwards - military outposts being set up hundreds of miles from anywhere, crewed by a few hardy soldiers who were tasked with subduing the natives, then later wagon trains of settlers venturing into semi-pacified lands to build civilisation.

It is important to note that Siberia has an incredibly low population density. When Peter the Great started taking all that land in the East the intention was not for permanent settlement but rather to get the natural resources that were valuable at the time. Colonization is a natural result when you have people gathering resources just to make the process easier, but Siberia is a pretty shit place to live so it was not exactly a big thing to go start a settlement there like it was for North America.
>When
It started with Peter the Great expanding
>How
Same way it happens everywhere else, creating towns to make the gathering of resources easier
>Why
To make Russia richer so it could try to be more like Western Europe.

Hope you learned something new
>>
>>487091
There were no nomadic horse archers in Siberia. Siberia is forested. They conquered the steppe much later.

It was a lot like the French colonization of North America, they built small forts and mostly traded/hunted for furs until they eventually reached the Pacific.

>"Blessed be God's name? Why, but why would I bless Him? Every fiber in me rebelled. Because He caused thousands of children to burn in His mass graves? Because he kept six crematoria working day and night, including Sabbath and the Holy Days? Because in His great might, He had created Auschwitz, Birkenau, Buna, and so many other factories of death? How could I say to Him: Blessed be Thou, Almighty, Master of the Universe, who chose us among all nations to be tortured day and night, to watch as our fathers, our mothers, our brothers, end up in the furnaces? Praised be Thy Holy Name, for having chosen us to be slaughtered on Thine altar?" - Elie Wiesel

Slavery was organized and promoted by europeans in the western hemisphere between XVI and XIX centuries. It was not an "accidental" event of modern economic history. It was a crucial event of the first historical moments in the formation of world capitalism and of the primitive accumulation of capital in the UK. Between the XVI century and 1888, more than 14 million people, mostly out of western Africa and the gulf of New Guinea were ripped off their communities and deported to the european colonies in America. This "black cattle" allowed for the expansion of the first kinds of agriculture for-export: the plantation economy. Without the american riches and without the slaves and african commerce, the economical, political and military "take off" of Europe and specially the UK would have been limited to a decisively minor scale.

>>

How were they subservient?

People like the Mandinka, Somali, Ashanti, Zulu, Ethiopians, and the Shona fought like hell against European encroachment.

Gold Coast slaves were cheap because of their irritable, stubborn, and proud nature.

Biafraian people were known to kill themselves rather than kneel.

ITT we discuss Czech history. Doesn't matter if it's Medieval Bohemia, the Bohemian Lands in Austria-Hungary, or Communist Czechoslovakia.

The picture is a map of Přemyslid lands around the year 1301, five years before the main branch of the dynasty died out.

Questions about Czech history are welcome.

Why are so many of the female Russia leaders/empresses rather notorious for being whores?

Elizaveta and Catherine both have explicit evidence that they were practically insatiable in regards to their lust.

I've never seen any other leaders with so much evidence of their promiscuity or infidelity. At first I thought "oh well maybe it was done after they were dead to demonize them because they were female rulers" but it was these two SPECIFICALLY none of the other females really have this issue. I can't think of any prominent female rulers from other nations that have such a ridiculously promiscuous reputation.

Both fucked people like it was going out of style and had little to no standards. Catherine has the obvious rumors of bestiality and apparently had an entire "fetish room" filled with creepy sex shit and tons of carved/styled penis/vagina sculptures.

What is it about female Russian leaders? Is there something in the water? Are morals simply not as stringent over there? Was this a form of feminism and female rebellion?

I'm just trying to imagine how well it would go over if we found out Obama was getting fucked in the ass by 20+ dudes each year. Does it not damage a countries reputation as a whole when this can of scandalous shit goes down?

Did you forgot about Clinton?
>>
>>484883
Clinton had sex with 2-3 women from what I understand and most men here in American give it the
>Heh alright bro, high five!
kind of treatment.

It is different in my head when you are fucking someone as opposed to BEING fucked. Maybe it is a power thing but I don't think sovereign liege when I think "letting someone else dominate your body".

Hence why I think the situation would be different if Clinton was getting fucked in the ass every other week by some new flavor of the month intern.

Also we are talking the difference between someone who had sex with a few people to someone who was rapidly approaching the triple digits of number of people who have run train on you.
