>"At the earliest opportunity I shall seize the best chance to declare war on Austria, dissolve the German Diet, subdue the minor states, and give national unity to Germany under Prussian leadership."
Bismarck openly said this to British Prime minister Benjamin Disraeli. Disraeli was astounded and told the Austrian ambassador, "mind that man Bismark - he means what he says."

>"Bismarck sharply disagreed with Wilhelm's policies and worked to circumvent them. Even though Wilhelm supported the altered anti-socialist bill, Bismarck pushed for his support to veto the bill in its entirety. When his arguments could not convince Wilhelm, Bismarck became excited and agitated until uncharacteristically blurting out his motive to see the bill fail: to have the socialists agitate until a violent clash occurred that could be used as a pretext to crush them. Wilhelm countered that he was not willing to open his reign with a bloody campaign against his own subjects."

I read book one when I was like 10 and never read book two. Book one ended with him fighting a whole army using the technique of running and engaging and running again, so that in reality he would only be fighting one at a time.

So many memories :~)

I know that in Medeival ages no one cared that much about the realm they are in, and it did not make a difference anyway. But were peoples like Chartaginians, Persians, Egyptians nationalist? Or is it just something Romans did and re-surfaced during moder era.

Nationalism is pretty much tribalism-lite, so it's kinda funny you picked nations over roughly bazillion tribes that existed along with them.

>Carthaginian

Doubt it, they were individualist merchants always merging with natives from other lands but peacefuly

>Persians

possibly

>Egyptians

Yes, they were also quite isolationists and viewed Egypt as heaven on earth

The Romans were unique in that their form of government allowed common people to participate in the government to a far greater extent, which naturally makes common people more engaged in what is going on. They also had a conception of citizenship that extended beyond people who were born in the actual city of Rome.

I'll make some money that way, go to a benevolent nobleman / ruler and start with basic inventions like the steam engine or the printing press.

>Inca society

>The Inca society was based on the stratification of classes. The stratification wasn't static, popular class individuals could reach the nobility with exceptional intelectual and warrior work and experience.
>Classes:
>-The Royal family: The Inca (Divine origin King), the Colla (Queen) and the Auqui (Prince)

>-The noble class : royal blood relatives and families, priviledged (popular exceptional people) and province nobility (these families were instructed to the management of the ayllus(communities).

>-Popular class: Hatun runas (commom man), Mitimaes (families of already conquered villages which were ordered to live on a new conquered village and had the duty to teach them Quechua; this strategy was used by the Inca administration so the local identity of the conquered cultures was morphed as several families abandoned the villages, that's how insurrections and revolts were prevented), Yanaconas (POWs or minor delincuents converted to slaves of the nobility and the royal family) and PiƱas (POWs or criminals which had to be forced to work for the empire mostly sent to the jungle part of the Tawantinsuyu)
>>
Political organization:
>From a political POV, the Inca empire was a teocrathic absolutist monarchy. The government power was inherited from father to a single son. The great element of unification was the language, so the Incas sent professors and made sure the constant use of Quechua. The other element was religion, as all cultures had to accept the Inti sun god, but they were allowed to preserve their past gods.

>-Inca: He was the sovereign of the empire, he had the highest political power and the religious power, as religious leader he was called Sapa Inca. Unrestricted power and every order made by him was immediately commited, despite the absolutist power most Incas governed and benefited the people applying the reciprocity principles and redistribution, charasteristics of the Inca society. The Inca lived on Cusco in a palace specially built for him, so Cusco was the origin of the Royal family and the capital of the empire, and from there he governed helped by lots of Inca officials who traveled from North to South of the empire delivering him the administration information of every zone, this administration was pretty efficient thanks to the Chasquis who were the andean messengers that were trained since they were kids so they could help the state.

>-Auqui (Prince): He was the heir prince,he was chosen between numerous individuals. The Auqui was chosen by his traits: bravery, courage , cunning... The warrior traits were important as much as the religious ones. The Auqui since the moment he is elected, he was trained for his future reign exercising a co-reign with the father Inca. He was trained and taught the administrative and guvernment duties of the Inca by the best teachers of the empire, which were brought to the capital.

Hitler's success in life never ceased to amaze me, Stalin, Mussolini, Mao or Saddam were gangsters from their childhood, they were bold and fearless and were born to rule. Hitler on the other hand was always a lonely faggot who failed to become artist and wasted his 20s as a insignificant soldier in the great war. How in the hell, this weak fucker managed to rule over the brightest & strongest generals of the greatest European nation during these hard times?

If the plague came to europe from china, how come most europeans are largely immune to the plague, but china continues to have major outbreaks to this day? If the disease originated in china, wouldn't the chinese have more of a resistance to it?
Pic unrelated
12 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
I'm blueskying here, but considering the more isolationist nature of china compared to europe, maybe china had less exposure to mutations of the plague so their resistance was only to specific strains.
>>
Does China still suffer from outbreaks from the plague even? Anyways in China and Europe the descrepencies in rates are due most likely to differences in vaccination not innate immunity.
>>
>>3211388
Vaccines.

Also, china doesn't have outbreaks of the plague constantly. If you mean general disease, again vaccines, but there hasn't been a major outbreak of Bubonic plague in Europe or Asia since at least the 17th century.

The aim of the Little Entente was to prevent Hungary revaunchism and prevent A Habsburg restoration, i have two questions, would Hungary be able to go toe to toe with it's former subjects, and how popular was the idea of a Habsburg restoration?

>would Hungary be able to go toe to toe with it's former subjects
They would've gotten buttfucked by Czechoslovakia alone, let alone Yugoslavia and Romania in a gangrape.
>how popular was the idea of a Habsburg restoration?
By the mid 20s it already wasn't very popular. Austria became more enamored with fascism and Hungarian """kingdom""" actually kicked out the rightful Habsburg king by suspending the pragmatic sanction.
