do you ever feel like this government imposed on you as grown so powerful we cannot rid ourselves of it, especially in such a large population, do you feel like the IRS is racketeering you. How do you feel about the statement "taxation is theft"
As a minarchist, I feel taxation is fine, but it is being so abused in our current system, especially so the senators and so on in their triple digit salaries.

Taxation is theft, but so is property.
>>918182
How is property theft? Ownership of property, in of itself does not imply coercion.
There's a growing amount of literature in moral psychology that argues peoples' ways of seeing the world differ starkly across political divides.
Conservatives, strangely enough (and as you can see in pic), are said to have a more egalitarian spread of moral considerations, while those on the left are apt to consider care and fairness above all.
They also have different conceptions of fairness. Liberals want everyone to have the opportunity to reach a certain level - i.e. short person needs higher chair to be level with others - while conservatives respond with "if he gets a high chair, everyone should!"
Jonathon Haidt has also argued that, much in keeping Hume, it is our passions and not reason which shape our moral judgements. And as such it is those who experience sympathy to a greater degree that become liberal (supporting political policies that support the "little guy"). Whereas rightists are usually people more prone to feeling pride or disgust. These people are more patriotic, consider societal order the ultimate achievement, and are much more likely to oppose acts they don't like the thought of (sodomy, anyone?).
What do you think of this? Do you like the idea that it is our feelings, and not our reason, which are shaping our political stances?

It is literally 5:45 AM and you are laying this thread on me?
I think who ever did this is trying to make too much of political leanings.
Is it the logical end to all philosophy?
Why?
I don't get why it would be the end to all philosophy. I think it would be a new beginning fpr philosophy.
Isn't this just not having kids?
Why? What good is that? Where is the philosophy?
What went wrong?

Just because it's the only option you know of doesn't mean it's the only option there is. You should know this.

Can there be a creation, without an architect?
Leave religion-bullshit aside. We are talking about reality.
>>7968724
Who is to say that what we know as "reality" isn't just chaos and we don't know any better? A burnt omelette to someone who has never had an omelette before is the best one he ever had

What's the scenario?
How far away would the countries be from each other?
Would they have to produce their supplies themselves?
Would they have to win a single battle, or would would some of them have to stop an invasin from the other or should both take the enemy capital?
>>918343
>How far away would the countries be from each other?
Both Estonia and Roman Empire would be in their current position, also, Roman Empire would know where Estonia is located
>Would they have to produce their supplies themselves?
Yes
>Would they have to win a single battle, or would would some of them have to stop an invasin from the other or should both take the enemy capital?
They would have to annex their enemy or make it a vassal state. Genocide also works

Is nostalgia fetishization a sign of a declining civilization? Are we in the age of decadence?
>>917953
Nostalgia, retro clothing, 80s dark synth and 70s funk revivals and remake culture are all signs of a western political shift to the right.

Yes and yes. We are witnessing the death-spiral of Western civilisation.
