OP was His first.
Free will was the first. And woman is the one creature that can totally wreck a man's logical, rational thought.
>One of the Founding Fathers
>literally walked into California
>named every major city in California
>sent money to George Washington to fight to btfo Protestant England
>fed every native that came, every time
>taught animal husbandry and agriculture to the natives
>moved his missions away from protection of brutal soldiers
>we don't need that kind of protecting
>traveled to Mexico City to have a brutal governor replaced
>slept on a wooden bench
Why does Junipero Serra get such a bad rap?
pretty based I suppose. I don't agree with the way that missions treated the indigenous peoples that weren't willing to convert so easily but the same can be said for anybody in any point of history really.
Living in California I have had the chance to visit the missions in San Diego, Santa Barbara, San Juan Capistrano
How can people unironically call themselves agnostic and pretend this to be a third position apart from theism and atheism?
The question "Do you believe in god?" is a question of yes or no. From a philosophical point of view you must know with certainty whether or not you believe. Sure your beliefs can change over time, but at any fixed time you are in one of two possible states of belief: either you do believe or you don't. So purely logically there is no such thing as an agnostic.
What if you just don't care and never really thought about it?
>from a philosophical point of view you must know whether or not you believe
Prove it.
>there is no such thing as agnostic
So how are we discussing it?
>>929639
Then the answer is no, you don't believe in god. Unless you do.
>haha the dark ages didn't happen man
>everything was fine after the fall of Rome
>that's just a renaissance myth bro

>>929156
No ones implying that.
Is it safe to say that "Europe" as an entity was born with the rise of Charlemagne?
Only Christcucks who can't reconcile the FACT that Europe thrived the most when Christianity didn't exist and only recovered when Christianity was neutered by the enlightment claim that.
>>922295
No. Europe as an entity was born with the remarkable successes of Pepin the short

Why did German women trade sex for chocolate bars?

Chocolate is sweet and nice
>>929320
Why not
Because sucking dick only worked for cigarettes.
>you will never be a legionary in the ancient Roman army
>you will never rise through the ranks to first spear solely by merit of skill and cunning

How big a moron was Hitler? It seems on hundreds of occasions what turned out to be the correct thing to do, he did the complete opposite.
Let's make a list of instances where Hitler did everything wrong.
Pic not related, but a very nice place to visit.
>getting cold feet at Dunkirk and letting the British Expeditionary Force escape
>the concept of invading Russia
>declaring war on the USA
>actually invading Russia
>having unrealistic and too broad of goals for the invasion of Russia
>constantly changing your main focus after the invasion had started
>pulling three panzer divisions from army group center who were charging towards Moscow to help AGN and AGS capture Leningrad and encircle soviets at Kiev and then pulling them back to AGC right before winter and expecting them to have time to capture Moscow.
>dismissing the leader of your Army group and assigning yourself the new commander
>thinking that will can overcome things such as logistics and tactics
>not allowing tactical retreats
>allowing complete armies to get surrounded and wiped out
>wasting resources on stupid wonder weapon projects
>allowing your armies to get bogged down in street fighting
>not realizing that the strength of your army is using mobility and blitzkrieg tactics and not stagnant World War I Era battles of attrition
>replacing commanders that disagree with you
>becoming addicted to drugs
>having a quack as your personal physician
>trying to micromanage the largest invasion force in world history
>refusing potential allies (i.e. nationalist Ukrainians) because you had retarded racial policies and instead make them enemies.
>hesitating at moscow and kursk for months allowing the Russians to build impenetrable defences.

Is beauty objective or subjective?
What is beauty?
>>929719
Good
It is mostly objective im various points. Relative to us humans. People are just butthurt about being ugly.
Hey /his,
What makes you happy?
I know there's a whole lot of Nihilists,Stoics and Religious people here and I would love to know what triggers this state of mind for each one of you.
Inb4 happiness is a spook
Hearing some pretty ill stories of people killing each other.
I'm a pleb who only experiences false temporary happiness wholly dependent on sensory pleasures.

When I do stuff that's old. Like building a fire, reading and reflecting, staring at the stars, doing a bit of work outdoors.
Feels good man.
Why did the Roman Empire fall? And I mean in the West, not in the East.
they were cucked by the celts
Endless civil war combined with an increasingly sedentary population once the empire stopped expanding lead to Romans identifying more with the land they were born in than the empire all together.
Remember when Julian was proclaimed Augustus by his own men? They were ethnic Celts/Gauls who had no intention of marching against Persia to defend the Eastern provinces they never seen nor cared about. So when Constantius asked for their reinforcement, they decided to rebel.
But I'd mostly chalk it up to Civil Warfare being seen as acceptable, gradually deteriorating any sense of shared Roman identity.
Incompetent leaders, christian devaluation of this world, reliance on mercenaries, etc
Was the de-Christianization of France a bad idea?
>>929891
A necessary step.
>>929929
But it only lasted like a year.
>>929941
Think about the effect of it. A ton of important thinking was gated off by the religion. France's de-Christianization was a spark that resounded through all of Europe, it's part of what makes our modern world possible. It also got rid of a monarchy was was horribly degenerate and paved the way for Napeloinic France was revitalized culture.
I think the fascist approach economics is "do whatever you immediately feel like," which varies from socialist to capitalist levels of ownership.
