Are there good any books that touch on how the military-industrial complex (or earlier installments of that, whatever they are called) was pivotal for the creation of modern nation states? Pic unrelated

Is this true? Was this where the Temple really was?
Biblical prophecy says the temple will be destroyed and only one wall will be left standing. Since biblical prophecy is meaningless bullshit one should question how it could possibly be true. Simple, it's not. It's a wall from the Roman fort Antonia. The fort fell into ruin.
The Jews used to pray and the ruins of a Jewish Temple located elsewhere as mentioned by medieval pilgrims. Zionists saw Mizrahi Jews doing their wailing ritual (which they formerly did in the open when the Ottomans permitted them to do it). They moved to the ruined fort and the Ottomans reinforced it with additional stones and this symbolically was their temple wall of prophecy despite no Jewish YHWH temple ever being there unless Jo-ve is the same deity.
The roman temple was converted to a church, fell into ruin, and the muslims built the dome and mosque on the foundation reusing what little elements they could. The dome interior mentions Christians and Sabaeans but nothing about Jews. Jews never cared about it. After all, Jerusalem was raised down to the last stone according to Josephus. Aelia Capitolina was built in its place. Constantine renamed it Jerusalem a couple centuries afterward.

You have to understand, the President had a much lesser role in the earliest days of the American government than it would come to have now. The Founders envisioned a sort of polity where you have the individual States as the primary political unit, and the federal government (and by extension the president), were mostly there to play referee in disputes between different states.
That's why you didn't have immediate popular vote of the president, in the first three elections, those electors were the ones really deciding things and not just rubberstamping their state's votes, and those electors were usually chosen by the individual state's legislators. It's why the representatives of those states in congress have tie-breaking power. Because again, the president is going to most directly be dealing with the state governments, not the populace directly, so it should be representatives of these subordinate governments who choose someone who they can work with.

Can't really think of anything in my locale but to bump a thread that might be interesting:
In 2002, archaeologists working in the Ljubljana marsh discovered what to this day remains the oldest discovered wheel in the world. The wheel itself is made of ash wood while the axel is made of a single piece of oak wood. The wheel dates to about 5200 years ago. Apparently, similar wheel designs have been found in the south of Germany and in Switzerland which makes sense as other discoveries in the marsh show that the people there were in contact with communities in the Alps, the Balkans and the Apennine Peninsula.
I've never been much for philosophy, but from what little about Schopenhauer I know, his philosophy seems like a pretty relatable fellow. Any of you learned cunts want to give me the gestalt on this guy?

Seems about right. I was hoping for something a little more in depth. I don't know why I said gestalt.

That was really rude, I don't know what came over me.
From what I can remember, Palmyra still claimed subordination to Rome, it and Gallia weren't trying to secede, they were just Rome ruled by a different emperor. Palmyra even issued coins with the face of Aurelian on them. Because of this, the people of Palmyra hated and distrusted the Sassanids, and wouldn't have been open to alliances with Persia.
Furthermore, Persia had recently been btfo in Anatolia, 260 AD I think, and weren't really in a position to tick off Rome which, even in its state of chaos, was still a formidable opponent.
What was the monetary policy of Spain under Franco? Did they print debt free money or did they borrow from a central bank? I legitimately can't find this information anywhere.

Is the desire to kill just another vice, like injecting heroin?
>>3222415
More like modes of life that are increasingly divergent from the natural lead to increasingly erratic and unnatural behavior. Even primitive people can be guilty of this through their superstitions.

Murder is just an extroverted suicide.
>>3222415
Desire can't be a vice, since vices have to be fed in order to be vices. You have to choose to take drugs or have unsafe sex, you can't choose whether or not to desire something, your brain just does it without your conscious oversight.

i am a descendant of the mesoamerican zapotecs. can someone eloberate on the nazi expidition to mesoamerica. i recently learned the zapotecs traded with the chinese in the 1400s and spread disease before the spanish came.

No evidence of that. All we have are coconuts in Costa Rica from possible Polynesians and lost Japanese sporadically making landfall in The Pacific Northwest.
