If Hitler had won the war, (as in secured a favourable armistice/peace whilst remaining in control of Poland and parts of Eastern Europe, not the retarded world-controlling victories portrayed in Wolfenstein and fanfiction), would Germany have gradually transitioned from a fasist economy into a liberal market economy as Hitler and the Nazi elite aged? After Hitler's death, would the Nazi totalitarian system remain in place, or would they have transitioned into a constitutional monarchy like in Spain or even reverted to the Presidential system of the Weimar republic?

Why did the U.K. during the war ship all German prisoners to Canada? Wouldn't it have been a huge waste of logistics and transport, when they could have just kept them prisoners in the U.K., not to mention that it would have been easier for them to escape from Canada than an island like Great Britain, since Canada was way huger and shared a massive land border with the neutral United States?

Yet another Nazi thread.

Is it true that people really got sent to Dachau or got arrested simply for telling a joke about Hitler? Was Hitler really that insecure that he couldn't handle a joke aimed at him or to the regime?

How do you deal with someone when you're debating, and you know that they're incorrect on a topic and committing very subtle fallacies, but when you explain them to them they don't understand your explanation of the flaws of their logic and just change the topic?

Basically, how do you reason with people who have high informal verbal skills but low reasoning skills and domain specific knowledge, so they are persuasive to the group but still wrong?

How were losers treated in the past
14 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
>>3231682
They didn't really exist. In a more or less caste-based society, you worked for your father from childhood until he died then took over whatever job he did. There wasn't really an opportunity to become a NEET.

The closest thing would be children of nobles too far down the line of inheritance to get anything, but they were generally pushed into joining the clergy or becoming military officers.
>>
>>3231682
Depends what you mean by 'past', but if you are talking 'ye olden times' say Middle Ages or some shit, then everyone who wasn't lucky enough to be born wealthy was a loser. Doesn't matter how much of a Chad you are, you couldn't just go shoulder check some noble in the town square. If the King wanted your wife for the night, tough luck.
>>
>>3231722
Oh come on, you act like incompetence didn't exist in the past just because professions were handed down. You think nobody ever did significantly worse than their father at something and was shamed for it? Or maybe just outright fail at whatever endeavor by incompetence? The question isn't about being a NEET, just a loser. Any society has comparative losers.

Often asked is the question: what if the Central Powers won the Great War? However, there is another, more plausible scenario that I think is even more interesting: What if American enters the war much sooner?

>Theodore Roosevelt wins the 1912 election
>As a result, the United States assumes a much more hawkish foreign policy, increasing military spending, especially with regards to the navy.
>Roosevelt declares war on the Central Powers during the December of 1914.
>With Americans leading the charge, the Gallipoli campaign becomes a rapid success instead of quagmire.
>As a result, the Ottoman empire is quickly knocked out of the war. The Armenian genocide is almost entirely prevented, and Russia takes possession of Constantinople after the war.
>Knocking out the Ottomans so quickly dramatically shortens the overall length of the war
>Without Ottoman support, Germany and Austria-Hungary are forced to surrender in November 1916 instead of November 1918.
>This is actually good news for Germany because it means that the length of the hunger blockade is reduced by 2 years. They still lose the war, but it is a much softer, much more bearable defeat, and there is no "stab in the back" myth because they obviously never had a chance.
>The shortening of the war also means that the 1917 October Revolution never occurs, meaning that the Bolsheviks never seize power and there is no USSR.
>Reducing the length of the war by 2 years means that Luigi Cadorna is only able to have 9 Battles of the Isonzo instead of 12

This is honestly the best possible outcome for WW1.

Not to mention that America would probably expand its empire to Eurasia. I don't see how this would prevent Bolsheviks from remaining a growing force, however. I mean, in the USA, Debs managed his popularity within a socialist context in part because Roosevelt's progressivism was seen as too soft and fake.

>With Americans leading the charge, the Gallipoli campaign becomes a rapid success instead of quagmire.
Your entire train of thought hinges on this, yet what reason do you have to believe that it's true?
>>
>>3231646

Because U.S. Marines wouldn't have been so stupid as to just sit around the beach, leaving essential high ground unoccupied during the opening days of the campaign while Turks have time to muster than forces. Americans would have immediately charged up those hills and occupied them before the Turkish army even got there.

It's probably a fake imo, or at least it's been restored to an extreme degree.

Something like that would've decayed pretty substantially over the past 2 millennia.
>>
>>3231247
Bronze doesn't rust like iron or steel and it hasn't been restored much. It was also carefully packed into a tomb. And it's fucking written on the thing that it's the sword of Goujian and was made by himself for his own use.

It's not in pristine condition either, the further toward the hilt there is more discoloration and the hilt is a bit damaged.
>>
No reason a bronze sword couldn't last that long. I mean, shit, the Chinese had hundreds of sculptures that still retained their paint after millennia because they were so carefully preserved.
