Did the Vril society exist?

NO.
>>1405266
Yes.
If the Bolsheviks were really some Jewish conspiracy, then why would they kill Aleksandr Glagolev? He was an Orthodox priest who defended a Jew being tried for blood libel, and denounced people engaging in pogroms? His son went on to become a rescuer of Jews from Nazi persecution.
Since the Bolsheviks killed him, it's obvious they weren't driven mainly by Jewish resentment.
The Bolsheviks weren't a Jewish conspiracy.
That so many Jews joined the Bolshevik ranks is actually due to the vicious anti-Jewish actions that the Czarist regime instituted: the abysmal conditions on the Pale of Settlement, the wave of pogroms in the late 19th and early 20th century, the accusations of blood libel from the state Orthodox establishment for all misfortunes, etc.
As such, a large number of Jews sided with anti-monarchist factions such as the Bolsheviks in the hopes of easing the oppression.

20th century radical movements were simply examples of what happens when the peasants get to rule entire societies.
They were beta uprisings.
>>1405152
>Why would a Jew kill the people who defended them
Because they were Jews.
At what point does life-apologetics become reconcilable with his philosophy? What is so distasteful about suicide that it causes some philosophers to go full retard and come up with ad-hoc rationalizations for why its wrong?
Suicide is an act of weakness. While acts of weakness have their place in reform and revolution (satyagraha), suicide in general is expressed for no purpose but selfishness - "I am suffering, so I will end my own suffering." When undertaken for oneself, it inevitably ignores all others.
One may ask as well what is so distasteful about ultimate isolation or complete mental solitary confinement.

Yes its a good question if life is so brilliant then why shouldn't one be able to exist in a state of unconditional equanimity rather than experience various forms of deprivation through boredom or ennui or malaise or even hunger?
>ugly, shit flags (all three of them)
>unoriginal governmental system (literally just a carbon copy of the US but with muh slavery)
>created solely for the purpose of waging a stupid and pointless war
>loses the war
>ugly uniforms (not even effectively standardized)
>no industry
>half of your population is enslaved and actively rooting for the other side
>their descendants are still butthurt a century and a half later
Bottom of the fucking barrel.

It's the same guy making these threads all day.
>>1404948
Now that you mention it, lot of similarities with Sparta †bh ƒam
>>1404955
I've literally never posted a CSA thread before.
How are some ways you've overcome spooks in your daily life?
>friend lent me fifty dollars a while back to take a girl out
>realize today the idea that I have an obligation to pay him back is a spook
>realize that money itself is a spook and so in fact he didn't even give me anything
Damn it feels good to be a gangsta
You should first read up what a spook is before making a thread about them.
>>1404921
I've read Stirner many times, he is pretty much the only philosopher you need
>>1404989
maybe if you're autistic
seriously, just replace the word 'spook' with the word 'meme'. It makes as much sense
>friend lent me fifty dollars a while back to take a girl out
>realize today the idea that I have an obligation to pay him back is a meme
>realize that money itself is a meme and so in fact he didn't even give me anything
What do you think about the cargo cults? Do you think this has other implications about our society?
We live in a cargo cult world
>>1404847
Cargo cult doesn't mean what you think it means.
>>1404805
It means that ancient Ayyyliens came to earth and created us by bio-engineering and that's why we are here and worship the sky.

Nothing is fact. All you've been told is a lie. All is subjective. You are dead to the sins of this world.
absolutely ebin

>All you've been told is a lie
>All is subjective
I suppose there are facts, then? Go to bed, kid.
ebin in a posting thread
is bioethics a valid ethical field ?
or is it just an obstacle to science ?
What are bioethics?
Can someone explain them briefly?
>>1404776
its about the ethical implications of the all the biological/life sciences like genitical engineering etc
I would say yes. Progress needs oversight.
Are there a lot of historical examples of fighting to the death as a sport? Any places where this still takes place today?
It still happens at gypsy camps near me and I live in the Home Counties.
>>1404763
knife fights?
>>1404806
Nah. Usually unarmed.
It is well established to say that Paul of Tarsus (the usurper) was the inventor of the Christian religion, contributing more to the belief system than even the historical Yeshua.
However, what was the reason for his hijacking/starting this new religion? Was he deluded? A reasonable account of Paul's life is that he was a Greek from Tarsus who possibly attached himself to the High Priest's/Sanhedrin's in the function of a henchman or bodyguard, and thus came into contact with those Jews who held Yeshua to have been a great teacher. For some reason, he took the character of Yeshua back with him to Asia Minor and began inventing wild tales about him and spreading them; and with mystery religions being vogue at the time, these tales were a hit. However, the original disciples of Yeshua in Jerusalem themselves were enraged at seeing a Gentile appropriate their figure and make him centerpiece to what they considered blasphemies.
But the question remains: what prompted Paul? Why specifically attach himself to Yeshua?

Did European explorers honestly believe their actions were the fulfillment of some divine obligation instigated by church policy like the doctrine of discovery?
If no, is there any evidence of criticism from 15th century contemporaries that such policy was just justification for greed or power?
If yes, do the beliefs held by a society justify their actions? Is it fair to criticism them?
>>1404683
Spanish did. The saying here in the Philippines is that the islands were conquered "by the cross, not the sword."
>>1404683
yes
the Spaniards used all the wealth they took from the Americas to finance religous wars instead of to get wealthy, they were the last pre modern medieval power.
>>1404705
>>1404731
What about later European powers? I assume there were other church and state mandates, or even later colonialists in America and belief in manifest destiny.
When do Europeans cross the line from well-intended expansionism into the current narrative of "greedy, Machiavellian imperialists?"
What the fuck was his problem?
So, this is the man responsible for American women naming their male children Braxton.
Curse him.
>>1404537
most racists suffer from anger issues and misguided aggression. he's just miserable.
>>1404553
Fun fact: I've never met a white Braxton nor have I ever met a Braxton that hasn't been to jail. Take my anecdote however you want.

Share any experiences you've had from the internet before 1991, dig up cool info, pretty much discuss anything relevant to internet culture before 1991.
http://textfiles.com/ - Probably the best resource for learning about BBS (Bulletin Board System) culture on the web
http://www.bbscorner.com/ - Another great resource for learning about the era
Nothing happened. There was like 200 people using the internet. Surely the 1991-1999 era is much more interesting?
Those were the days when you could literally get kicked off the Internet for being an asshole.

Why is the worship/reverence of trees so common in many pagan faiths around the world? Do we humans, on a primal level, see trees as holy?
Isn't it weird how trees exist almost everywhere humans do?
They are symbols for the generative patterns of life
trees stronk. stories of trees standing for generations made them seem immortal and greater than humans. desu, they are.
If you would cut off Yuja Wang's hands she could no longer play the piano, this proves that the ability to play the piano is locally generated inside the hands.
>>1404453
Can't be empirically disproved but can be proven as she can indeed not play piano if she doesn't have hands. Good science there buddy!
t. peer, you are now a peer-reviewed scientist
If Ingmar Bergman would've lived in a world with no cameras he wouldn't have made a single film. This proves that films have material underpinnings inside video cameras.
>>1404453
while you can demonstrate the brain is active in the process of playing a piano, you cannot demonstrate that any outside force is active in controlling the brains decision making processes.
So despite your example being a fallacy of composition, the one on how the brain works is not
