/his/, what are your thoughts on climate change using both evidence and historical temperatures as evidence? Right now I think that humans have a decent impact on changing the climate, but I think it's a bit hasty to conclude that we are responsible for the majority of climate change in the world. Was there but a trend of glaciation during the middle ages? Are we seeing a natural phase of the climate changing mostly on its own?

What are your thoughts?

The only contemporary source for the Massacre of the Latins is William of Tyre. Contemporary Venetian and Genoese sources only mention great damages and an expulsion of merchants and moneylenders.

Do you think history, Americans especially, remember the Founding Fathers fairly and accurately? Americans treat them like mythological figures and still evoke their name and principles over 200 years later in a very different world.

Not entirely. Though it's mostly irrelevant, because we generally don't even care about the full character or history of them more so their contributions to specific memorable events.

Most were otherwise self interested business owners or educated types coming from wealthy families, all local elites. The control of their trade and taxation by an overseas government without representation on their part should be understood in this context. The focusing on liberty and political experimentation, while interesting can undermine the rationale for the revolution
>>
I think that laypeople in America have overly uncritical opinions of them for the most part, but they are represented fairly in higher education history courses. Their idealization isn't perpetuated by education so much as general zealousness about the principles that they codified, that Americans take pride in.

Most lay persons can't name a founding father who isn't Jefferson, Washington, or Franklin, let alone form any kind of opinion about them.

In fact, if we were to heed the words of our founders, we wouldn't be playing World police in the retarded shitshow that is Globalization

How much longer before we can shit in our armchairs and get handies at Starbucks?
Judging it inevitability, I'd rather not watch the whole decline, and just experience the glory of big-ass fries at a Buttfuckers sports restaurant.

What about you anons? What are you looking forward to in the consumer-apocalypse?

Never.
No culture in power or coming into power is loose enough for that to ever be a thing. There would be several steps before common prostitution like that would be a thing.
Like prostitution not being taboo for either the customer or the employee, for one.
And even that is unlikely to happen until porn stars start feeling comfortable using their real names.

If you have something on your mind, I will try to give you insight into the nature of your question. Whatever it may be. I won't give you the answer because the answer is probably one you must realize for yourself, not be told. I may not even know myself.

But ask away. I am here to help.

This board is for the discussion of news, world events, political issues, and other related topics.

Off-topic and /b/-tier threads will be deleted (and possibly earn you a ban, if you persist). Unless they are quality, well thought out, well written posts, the following are examples of off-topic and/or /b/-tier threads:

>Red pill me on X. (with no extra content or input of your own)
>Are X white?
>Is X degeneracy?
>How come X girls love Y guys so much?
>If X is true, then how come Y? Checkmate Z.

The variety of threads allowed here are very flexible and we believe in freedom of speech, but we expect a high level of discourse befitting of the board. Attempts to disrupt the board will not be tolerated, nor will calls to disrupt other boards and sites.

Just watched through Fog of war by Errol Morris and it's probably the best documentary I have ever seen. Anyone know a similar documentary where you get to hear what happened behind the scenes in big historical moments?
